But add up all the fundraisers to help victims of the American regimes violence in just your lifetime, both domestic and international, and ask yourself wouldn't it be worth the time to just cut that in half (not going to pretend what will come out will be perfect, but it'll be significantly less powerful and arrogant, and that's going to result in fewer victims)
I get it. And I will donate to this effort just as I have donated to other efforts and continue to do so regularly. However, this cycle of terrorizing people with our taxes monies, then finding a small band-aid to send them after the fact, is just getting ridiculous!
Maybe we need to start thinking of other ways to help. Maybe NOT allowing the bombing and the terrorizing in the first place is the more adequate response? If that means standing in front of our "elected" officials' offices for days at a time, maybe that's what is needed. Maybe the system needs to be dismantled by the good people of the world. Where do we start? Certainly, sending more Band-Aids isn't going to do the trick.
