🇱🇧 Today we launch an emergency appeal for 1.2 million men, women, and children that have been newly displaced by Israel in Lebanon.
Families are fleeing with nowhere to sleep. We’re raising our first $10,000 now for mattresses, medicine, food, and water.
Family,
Today I am asking you to please stand with Lebanon.
This is not a small escalation. This is not a passing flare-up. Lebanon is in a full-blown humanitarian emergency, and families are paying the price with their lives, their homes, and whatever sense of safety they had left.
Israeli attacks since March 2nd have killed well over 1,450 people, including 126 children, wounded more than 4,400, and displaced around 1.2 million people across Lebanon. Many of these families had already been displaced before, returned home, and are now being forced to flee all over again. Shelters are overwhelmed. Some families are sleeping in cars, in streets, and in public spaces because there is simply nowhere else to go
The nightmare for civilians has only become more terrifying, with hospitals overwhelmed by the injured and desperate calls for blood donations as strikes hit crowded civilian areas, including central Beirut.
One eyewitness described the scene in Beirut as “apocalyptic,” with bodies on the ground, blood everywhere, and wounded adults and children in every direction
And this is why today we are launching our Lebanon Emergency Appeal with Human Concern International.
Our team is already in Lebanon doing the work.
The funds from this project will go directly to cover the costs of mattresses, medicine, food, and water for displaced families. This is about immediate needs. Not later. Not eventually. Right now.
As always, 100% of your donation goes straight to the charity. I do not receive any percentage or fee. I work full-time for HCI and coordinate directly with our team.
And as always, 100% of your donation is tax deductible and Zakat eligible.
Here is what giving looks like right now:
$250 sponsors 1 family and covers their immediate needs
$500 sponsors 2 families
$750 sponsors 3 families
$1,250 sponsors 5 families
$2,500 sponsors 10 families
$3,750 sponsors 15 families
If you can help one family today, please do it.
If you can help two families, do that.
If you can step up and cover five or ten or fifteen families, this is the moment.
Please just give whatever you can, even if it’s $5!
I need us to move with urgency here, because the suffering is not abstract.
It is a mother trying to find somewhere for her children to sleep.
It is a father trying to find medicine.
It is a family that fled bombardment and now has no mattress, no food, and no clean water.
It is children who already endured this once being forced to endure it all over again.
And please hear me on this: we are not raising money for some vague future plan. We are raising money for direct emergency relief through a team already on the ground.
That matters.
In moments like this, people want to know if help is real, if it is organized, if it can move quickly, if it will actually reach families. The answer here is yes. That is why I am asking you to support this with me tonight.
Please donate to our Lebanon Emergency Appeal right now.
If all you can give is $100, give that.
If you can sponsor 1 family for $250, do it now.
If you have the means to cover 5, 10, or 15 families, please move generously and immediately.
And after you give, forward this email to people you trust. We need to build momentum fast.
Lebanon does not need our commentary right now nearly as much as displaced families need a place to sleep, medicine for the injured, food to eat, and water to drink.
Let’s do our part.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
