The one concern is that American politics is a masterclass in portraying suppression, oppression, and war crimes as being pro human rights, and supporting human rights for 'inconvenient' humans as terrorism and supporting war crimes.
So 'supporting Ukrainians against Russian aggression' could be deemed positive on the scorecard...unless you dig and find out that the 'Ukraine' in question considers voluntary participants in the Holocaust heroes, and the Russian liberation of Eastern Europe from the Reich as aggression by an oppressive power.
