This weekend, at an ultra-swanky banquet hall in the middle of Manhattan, white nationalists and white supremacists from all over the world, including US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, gathered together as a sign of solidarity and support for one another.

That fact alone is a disturbing sign of the normalization of bigotry and racism, but Marjorie Taylor Greene said something that is so disturbing, and dangerous even, that it has me truly concerned.

She said, in plain English, that if she had been able to plan the January 6th insurrection that she would've made sure everybody was armed and that it would have succeeded.

Do you understand the gravity of that? What does she mean by succeeded? That they would have kidnapped and executed politicians? That they would've permanently taken over Congress and kept Trump as President. What does she mean?

Let me unpack and explain it.
