Heartbreakingly beautiful speech by Mamdani! And heartbreaking stories of destroyed olive groves (it reminds me of The Rose Tattoo film) and murdered doctor(s) and children. Israel has soooo much to answer for! Impeach NetanYahoo!!!!

To the 10.000s of olive trees destroyed in Occupied Palestina in the last years:

*

Trees are history;

the brief history of the man or woman who planted it, cherished it, watered it, sat in their shadows, harvested their fruits, took their leaves, their branches and resins, listened to their birds and to the song of the wind passing through. This is what trees do.

*

It is the wider history;

the history of generations caring for the trees' survivals, individually and as orchards, fighting bushfires, healing wounds. It is the wider history of creating green landscapes, up to the horizon, adapted to soil and region, protecting simultaneously soil and region, accumulating earth, fertility, rain and running waters, life and memory. This is what trees do.

*

It is the greater history

that contains time and witnesses time, creates the physical space for fairy tales to emerge and myths to be found in the somber freshness of lush green. It is the magical moment where local gnomes, dwarfes, fays and fauns giggle in the woods. It is the greater history of short tales generations tell their children before going asleep. This is what trees do.

*

It is the greater history

that roots nations to the soil, an interwoven relationship of reciprocal using and giving, the unity of human kind and ‘nature kind', never divided, never lost, - we used to call it Earth.

Despicable and vile. Yet another disgusting injustice committed by the genocidal occupiers. I wish this man, and his family and the countless others wronged by these genocidal illegal settlers could obtain recompense and justice for what they have been wrongfully denied. Sadly, it doesn't seem possible the way things are

“La Familia and Lehava are Israel’s versions of the Ku Klux Klan” it is not a polemical metaphor but an analogy grounded in ideological, behavioral, and organizational evidence.

These extremist Jewish groups, originating from the Kahanist movement, have developed an ethno-religious vision of national purity and a militant practice of collective violence.

Their functioning, rhetoric, and relationship to religion echo the dynamics of American white supremacism.

Several contemporary Israeli organizations share similar racist or supremacist ideologies and deserve mention for their actions and their political or religious influence, such as: Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), Hilltop Youth, Price Tag, Torat HaMelech Network, and Lahava Youth.

Israeli KKK? Dude...begging for money at the beginning of every one of your "reports" makes you look like a scavenger of human misery. When your women and children are starving, you've lost the war. A good man who truly cares about his people, surrenders. Lays down his arms and accepts defeat so his family can live. Blame the death cult that is Hamas. Blame the ones who use the corpses of babies as bargaining chips. Who take amphetamine pills and rape and murder entire families.
