Comments are open to all. Did you know this about Cory Booker? He may very well be the single most dedicated and destructive Zionist in all of Congress.

I have been on to Cory Booker for a while now. I have been giving him hell on his FB page. Thanks for this piece Shaun.

That’s sad. After Sen. Cory Booker held the floor with his speech he gain respect from me. But he lost my respect a little because of an action he took after his speech. But now it light of this article I am moving farther away. I will do my own research into him before I move completely away from him.

Thank you Dawn. Trust me - I've met him up close and what you admired about him, I did as well. He's not who we thought he was. Period. I wouldn't say so otherwise. But please do a deep dive.

I write this as an anti-Zionist Jew--something I didn't bother to say for years but that opens a lot of my comments and correspondence these days. That Booker's pro-Zionist and in AIPAC's pocket is important and very much worth saying. The question, though, of whether or not he's Jewish? Not to the point, my friend. People can be not-Jewish and be pro-Zionist. People can also be Jewish and anti-Zionist. The Israeli government talks as if Judaism and Zionism are the same category, which plays right into the hands of anti-Semites. Please keep the two categories separate.

Stephen Dubner had him on Freakonomics Radio on Sat. in my market. Kuow-Seattle. I sent Stephen an email to challenge him for not mentioning anything but fluff. I despise most all politicians. They are career climbing profit seekers. In other words, Bribed!

Please stop conflating Jewishness, Judaism, Zionism, and the Israeli government. These are not the same thing. Equating Jewish identity with Zionism—or worse, with the actions of a government—only spreads misinformation and fuels antisemitism.

Many Jews, myself included, oppose the current Israeli government and are actively fighting against its violent, hateful, and genocidal policies. Calling someone “Jewish” as a slur—especially when they are not—is as offensive as misidentifying someone’s race or ethnicity and using it as an insult. Why do that?

Imagine someone abroad saying, “You must be evil because you’re American—look at what your country is doing.” Is that fair? Of course not. Then why is it somehow acceptable to make that leap with Jews?

Jews are not a monolith. We hold a vast range of political, religious, and cultural beliefs. Supporting the existence of Israel as a Jewish state does not mean supporting the actions of its government or military. That distinction matters.

And if Jews truly felt safe elsewhere—if we weren’t consistently among the most frequent targets of hate crimes—perhaps fewer would feel the need for a secure homeland. That, too, deserves compassion and context.

I fiercely condemn the Israeli government’s atrocities. I’m appalled by anyone who enables or excuses them. But it is deeply painful—and dangerous—to see Jews as a people thrown under the bus to make a point.

Black and Jewish communities have a long history of standing together. I hope we can reclaim that solidarity, not abandon it.

Your anti-semitism is disgusting. Not as disgutsing as what Israel is doing to the Palistenians, but I will certainly not be reading your blog in the future. You can not equate/interchange Jews, Zionists and Israel as you have done in several of your pieces. And just becuase someone reads Hebrew or officiates at a wedding doesn't mean they are Jewish, Even if Cory Booker is Jewish, which I doubt, what does that have to do with his supposed defenses of Israel's Gaza policy? There are many Jews who are hoorified at what is Israel is doing. I don't think you would say that you are a facist or murderer. Yes, America has enabled/supported what is happening, but that doesn'tmean every American is a facist murder. If Corry Booker is receiving money from the Israleli government, that's another story, but I don't trust your reporting.

Thanks for educating us, Shaun. What a bummer. Are there ANY Democrats without an agenda (bought and paid for by some lobby)? We know all the Republicans are, and I'm not seeing much stoppage of Trump by Dems, but I figured they were bound by their minority status. Time for the next generation to take the reins. And, boot all the fake Dems.

Hind Rajab Foundation, July 2025

This weekend, the Hind Rajab Foundation filed new elements in their case against Benjamin Netanyahu’s “Executioner of Gaza”, Brigadier General Yehuda Vach. Alongside his 2 brothers, Colonel Golan Vach, and Captain Elishav Vach, have come to be known by human rights observers as Israel’s “first family of genocide.”

Call on Pope Leo XIV to do whatever it takes to save Gaza and stop the bombing, and end the starvation. Let him go to Gaza and stand with the suffering people who are being massacred by Israel and the Western posers. He can join the March to Gaza this month.

Is there anything more important in today's world than this?

Thank you for putting this is the spotlight Mr King, vital to expose these "heroes" of the Democratic Party as Booker was lauded for his ineffectual mock filibuster by the liberal base and punditry. I'll give second place to Hakeem Jeffries. https://barryjkaufmando.substack.com/p/the-empire-strikes-backat-itself
