Good news on a day and in a time where good news is scarce.

We always knew it was highly likely they would be released. But a new precedent has just been set. By a European country that is simply applying its laws.

I remember when this happened. I have her photo saved. Beautiful child. She was trapped in the car for 6 hours, everyone else was dead. Then, they killed her too. Not humans.

They were questioned and released. They might just go back to Israel without any further incidence. Somewhat disappointing.

Where did you find they were released?

It’s useless then. One should only be hopeful in those authorities when they actually start arresting and charging. Releasing them like that, is nothing but a joke.

One might imagine that being released after arrest and being charged might be something that happens in many countries, perhaps with bail or own recognizance. They may have confiscated their passports, but inside the EU, they would have free movement even without a passport. I'm interested to see how this continues. Hope it scares the sh*t out of them.

Agree. I don’t know when anyone will get another chance. Hopefully next time will be a bigger step. They should feel it everywhere they try to go.

It's not useless. Not legally. A new legal precedent was just set. It strikes fear in the war criminals. Their press and government are flipping out. They are never even held remotely accountable. This is just a start. Nothing starts out on level 10.

Yes, agree that this is a start, and has never been done before, until now.

Did they release them after the arrest and interrogation? I imagine there is a huge concern that they will flee the country

10/7 ---Oct 7-----------------------------------------the barbarism changed history my friend...

Shaun King's avatar

Explain yourself. History started on October 7th for you? Was 1948 not barbaric? Or for you, do you have the view that your people cannot be barbaric because everything you do is holy and wonderful, even when it is neither?

This man literally thinks the only 2 barbaric moments in history are the Holocaust and October 7th. Sir - your people are literally the most barbaric murderers on the planet and you are defending them all over the place. The whole world sees how violent and unethical Israel is. Maybe your bubble is blind to it, but the rest of the world now knows the truth.

I believe we, as Muslims, have a responsibility to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, to expose those who use their power to subjugate (even to death) others, and to seek justice. I’m glad to learn Belgium took action in identifying and moving to hold the guilty responsible. At last. May we continue with haste.

Here's where you can contribute to the Hind Rajab Foundation. May they facilitate the arrest of many more, with our help.
