✊🏽 Before you read this…
What you’re about to read is not something you’ll find on CNN, MSNBC, or in The New York Times. You should. And you should be asking why you won’t.
They won’t say the names. They won’t show the faces. They won’t tell the truth.
That’s why The North Star exists — and why this platform is growing fast.
We now have 1,785 paid subscribers. And we’re just 215 members away from hitting our next major milestone: 2,000 people standing together to fund fearless, independent journalism.

🍞 Her name was Razan.
Four years old.
A baby girl with her whole life ahead of her.
She should’ve been playing. Laughing. Growing.
Instead, she starved to death in Gaza.
Not because her family didn’t love her.
Not because they didn’t try to feed her.
Not because there wasn’t food in the world.
But because Israel is blocking it.
And America is funding the blockade.
📉 Gaza is starving — and it’s not accidental.
This famine wasn’t caused by drought.
Or natural disaster.
Or failed crops.
It was engineered.
Tens of thousands of tons of food and medicine are sitting just outside the borders of Gaza — in convoys, in containers, on trucks — waiting.
But Israel won’t let them in.
And the United States keeps sending the money, weapons, and political cover to make sure the siege continues.
That’s not famine.
That’s forced starvation.
That’s a war crime.
🧾 What international law says:
Article 54 of the Fourth Geneva Convention forbids starvation of civilians as a method of warfare.
Article 8 of the Rome Statute (which governs the International Criminal Court) makes it a prosecutable war crime.
Collective punishment — punishing an entire civilian population for the actions of a few — is explicitly forbidden under international law.
And yet here we are.
Babies dying.
Elderly people collapsing.
Mothers unable to produce breast milk because their bodies are too weak to function.
Children eating leaves, drinking dirty water, boiling grass.
🧠 This isn’t just starvation. This is policy.
Palestinians in Gaza are not starving.
They are being starved.
By design.
By siege.
By Israel.
With U.S. weapons. With U.S. support. With U.S. money. With YOUR MONEY!!!!
Razan Abu Zaher died not because the world lacks food.
She died because the world lacks courage.
📢 What you won’t see on the news…
You won’t see Razan’s face on CNN.
You won’t hear her name on BBC.
You won’t read her story in The Washington Post.
Why?
Because Palestinian children don’t fit the narrative.
Because calling this what it is — a deliberate, U.S.-backed war crime — would require accountability.
So they stay quiet.
And we have to speak louder.
