This is, unfortunately, a classic example of why you can't help everyone. I'm always encouraged but the work you do and the fierceness and transparency of your motives, your thoughts and outcomes. I'm not sure how, why or who Samaria Rice is listening to, but it's destroying her ability to get any kind of traction or justice for Tamir. At this point, the sympathy people could/would have for her is on pause because of her erratic behavior and actions - at least for me. She doesn't seem like she can be trusted and maybe that's because she's still grieving and hurt; but something else is happening with her and for justice reformers working on her behalf, be really, really careful.

What's happening to you, I believe, is what happened to ACORN, is happening to BLM and will happen to the next person who challenges things the way you do. What happened to ACORN isn't a conspiracy theory. It's the kind of (recent) history that so many repubs want hidden. They admit they want it hidden. It’s interesting that white people can start a documented lie and defamation of someone and we start to believe it. What happened to the notion of innocent until proven guilty. You have white people who commit crimes against black people then raise millions of dollars. However, we will discount a black man for raising $125,000. 🤷🏽♀️ We don’t hear white people arguing about money but they get a kick out of us cutting one another off at the knees.
As black people, we have to stop focusing on this unnecessary, counter productive narrative, and open our eyes to what “they” are trying to do. Everyone who is questioning this narrative without receipts or facts, is assisting people who don’t give a damn us.

I’m just SADDENED that you continuously have to prove these types of things over and over again. I get why it’s being done…you are making impact and there are so many people who are hiding and suppressing their lies. You are very good at what you do and they know it. Please do not be discouraged Shaun. I will continue to give my resources as you continue to raise money for different causes. There is nothing within me that tells me you are mishandling the money or doing it for your own gain. We have to turn these negative things around and see them in a positive light that says…each time they come for you, something great is taking place.
