On today's episode of The Breakdown I want to take a minute to thank all of you for your hard work and support as we fought for justice for Ahmaud Arbery. We must celebrate the small victories, but keep on pushing.
William Roddie Bryan was finally arrested on charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprionment in the case of Ahmaud Arbery, the young Black man was who was shot and killed by white supremacists while taking his afternoon jog.
It took the many action steps outlined here on the podcast, a relentless social media push and public pressure from millions of people for an arrest, which should have happened months ago, to finally happen. It took making Amhaud Arbery a household name for any real action to be taken.
Still, we must celebrate the few victories received in this uphill battle for racial justice in order to continue fighting with vigor. Bryan’s arrest is one necessary step of many, and we must push for every single one.
