Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925. 

 

He was a leader during the Civil Rights Movement and one of the most well-known activists of all time. He called for a new way of fighting for freedom and achieving justice for Black people in America. His ideology is often summed up by a quote he used in many of his speeches, “We want freedom by any means necessary. We want justice by any means necessary. We want equality by any means necessary”.

 

He was just 35-years-old when he was assassinated on February 21, 1965.

Today would've been the 95th birthday of our dear Brother Malcolm X. I want to play four of the most powerful clips of his speeches and interviews. They are also painful, because they shouldn't even be relevant anymore, but he literally could've said these things yesterday. Listen and learn.
