You know it’s funny because Obama was elected on the 4th and if Mamdani becomes mayor he’ll also be elected on the 4th. It’s funny how Zohran is everything they were afraid of about Obama.

There's nothing to be proud of in obama. He is a war criminal just like many others on the left and many on the right

I know it’s just an interesting coincidence . Hopefully Zohran doesn’t cave to pressure because I think if he wins the establishment might try and ask him to soften up his stances but it is interesting that they were so afraid of Obama as this like revolutionary who was in their minds different and strange but now there’s Zohran who wants to do things that if he’s able to do it might actually be revolutionary

Agreed Kashaf. I hope he doesn't go back on his words or retreat on his positions on various issues just due to pushback from the powers that be (which he will no doubt get a LOT of if elected). If Zohran can make manifest the policies he has talked about, it could be significantly positive for the city, in my opinion.

Authentic, not trying to please all, realizes government is meant to be the greatest good for the greatest number - not to fund billionaires. In many societies to die leaving nothing in the bank means you have given it all away to those who are in need. The healthiest most sane people are not those with the greatest $$$ but those with the biggest hearts.

I love Zohran! Smart, warm, determined to be of service to all New Yorkers (and beyond)! He’s one of the BRIGHTEST lights in this country’s darkest era.

EEEK! I forwarded this to a few of my NY friends. But two of them ate Jewish. I hope I didn't offend them if they scrolled down and saw the video of the Palestinian man being raped by IDF soldiers!

I am quite taken with your remark that ZM's (giant) win today will spark an immense negative reaction. It makes me think of the election of Salvador Allende in Chile in 1970 and the well-funded and carefully-orchestrated coup against him and his vision. Gabriel Smirnow wrote about this in "The Revolution Disarmed". Part of his thesis is that the movement that propelled Allende to victory was made somewhat toothless, that the movement was (if not ignored, then) rendered ineffective. I can only hope that ZM cultivates his movement, nourishes it, and is smart enough to engineer an effective response to the coming anti ZM reaction.

Super. And let's remember to spend at least a few minutes to celebrate!! In these times those moments can feel . . . rare.

Asalamu alaikum Shaun

Mayor Mamdani has a nice sound :)

Thank you for sharing the video! I'm definitely smiling and liking this gentleman more and more, and believe that if Zohran Mamdani wins, in sha' Allah (God willing), there will be a new generation of hundreds, if not thousands, of good citizens that will arise from the shadows and step up to want to become public servants.

I believe this is the biggest fear the establishment from both D's and R's have; that as we near the 250-year anniversary of America's independence and the 2026 midterm elections one year away, a new movement of political priorities will take over both parties.

To those New Yorkers reading this who haven't voted yet, and are undecided, as a reminder, you have a candidate who says he will defend the war criminal Netanyahu for his war crimes, and another candidate who said he'll have Netanyahu arrested if he puts his foot in NYC.

The choice is obvious, hoping New Yorkers will make history tonight!

You are so right. Both parties are in fear of someone like ZM. They see him bringing the end to their "old boy's club" and greed on both sides of the aisle, and bringing new and fresh ideas, of which they have none. Sha' Allah. It is time for a change.

Zohran Mamdani is absolutely the person we need right now. He is so relaxed, assured but humble, intelligent, articulate, clear-headed about the role of government, connected to the young thinkers of today, and has such an easy-going humor. He's the one for today! And tomorrow!!

This man is amazing! He would make a wonderful mayor for New York, and later for even grander things. He is extremely smart and grounded, open to seeing the bigger picture, and not excluding anyone. The Dems are short-sighted when they didn't back him - what are they afraid of? I hope he wins in a landslide.
