Yes, I actually think that Israel and America have killed closer to 400,000 Palestinians in Gaza. The research proves it.
You won't find a single credible researcher that thinks the numbers are 58,000 - which is the current official total. That number is staggering, but is likely only 10%-15% of the actual number.
That image if of a 3,000 year old city in Gaza called Rafah. It’s gone. I mean, it no longer exists. Nothing remains. This city existed 1,000 years before Jesus and now it’s gone. But the truth is - most of Gaza looks like this. And now almost every single expert on population measurements, ethnic cleansing, and genocide says something truly disturbing in unison. They agree that on October 6th, 2023 that Gaza had around 2.2 million people. And that as of today it has somewhere around 1.6 million .
I want to explain what I think has happened and share the facts here with you, but first…
We are building the Human Rights Scorecard to track every U.S. politician on their votes, their donors, their lobbyist money, and their public silence — or courage — on issues of war, genocide, and human rights. With billions in weapons flowing to Israel, and politicians from both parties complicit in mass violence, we need a tool that exposes the truth — before you donate, volunteer, or vote. No more guessing. No more relying on party lines. We’re building receipts and we want you to join us, OK?
This tool is being built by the people, for the people. We don’t take corporate money. We don’t answer to political parties. Every dollar raised helps us gather data, design public profiles, and build a platform the powerful don’t want to exist. If you believe in truth, transparency, and accountability — please chip in today to help us finish this tool. You can give one-time or become a monthly donor here.
Now, let me try to unpack the data around just how many people have been slaughtered in Gaza…
The smallest possible number you will ever see of the total deaths in Gaza come from the Health Ministry there and the current number, which is over 58,000, represents the total number of bodies that they physically saw, counted, and named in the hospitals and morgues. If that number was true, it would be breathtaking. Experts say half of all victims are children. Israel and America have now killed more Palestinian newborns than the total number of civilians killed on October 7th.
But all of us, supporters and critics alike, know that Gaza is so obliterated, so utterly destroyed, that clearly the overwhelming number of victims have either been literally turned to dust by the strongest bombs ever dropped on crowded cities in the modern history of the world or they are buried far beneath billions of pounds of rubble that are so massive it would take 20+ years just to remove it.
Let me give you the facts.
This past January a comprehensive, independent study determined that 86,000 Palestinians had been killed.
In June, the most prestigious newspaper in Israel said the number of people killed in Gaza was over 100,000 men, women, and children - nearly twice the official total. To be clear, the number from Hamas is 58,000 and the number from Israeli media is 100,000.
13 months ago, in June of 2024 - one of the most prestigious medical journals in the world said they estimated the death toll to be 186,000 people. Here’s the full study.
Then, I want you to see the words of leaders of the American and Israel governments where the discuss how many Palestinians are still alive in Gaza.
In February, Donald Trump said Gaza had 1.7 million people - which is 500,000 less than they had when this genocide began.
In June, one of the highest ranking government officials in Israel, the genocidal monster Bezalel Smotrich, said 1.8 million people remained in Gaza.
Do you see what I am showing you?
It doesn’t matter if you are speaking to academic experts, if you speak to Donald Trump, to Israeli media, or to Israeli government officials - almost everyone agrees that the number of Palestinians remaining in Gaza is at least 400,000 less than it was in October of 2023.
At this point, it would be ridiculous to believe otherwise. And like that, it brings back to mind the memory I had nearly 2 years ago that surely, the world would not allow 1,000 children to be slaughtered - live-streamed for everyone to see. But that happened in the first month alone. We have no idea how many children have been murdered in Gaza. It could be 250,000. All we know is that the true number is exponentially hire than anything that is counted in the morgues of Gaza.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

Thank you for saying this. Watching the daily atrocities last year & reading the 40K count for months made me sick. What privilege our media, politicians, and genocide-denying neighbors enjoy.
