🏫 We crossed $50,000. Alhamdulillah. Now we push to $100,000. THANK YOU to the first 445 of you who chipped in!! Let's keep rolling.
Some gave $5, some gave $5,000. Allah knows each person’s capacity and sacrifice. Now we push toward $100,000.
As-Salaam-Alaikum and good afternoon from New Jersey.
My friends, I want to begin with gratitude.
Because of you, we have now raised $52,454 from 445 supporters toward building a school for orphaned children in Gaza.
Alhamdulillah.
That means we crossed the first $50,000 milestone. We are now nearly 21% funded toward the full $250,000 goal, and I do not want to rush past what that means. This is not symbolic progress. This is the beginning of classrooms, washrooms, a courtyard, counselling space, teachers, desks, whiteboards, learning materials, and a safe place where hundreds of orphaned children in Gaza can begin to rebuild a small part of what has been stolen from them.
To every single person who helped us get here: thank you.
🏫 Donate now to help us reach $100,000 for Gaza’s orphan school
Two donors gave $5,000. Several donors gave $1,000. Some gave $500, $250, $100, or $50. And others wrote to me and said they gave as much as they possibly could, even though it was $5, or even less than that.
And I want to say something plainly, especially to the people who gave what may look small to others: Allah knows what He placed in each of our hands, what each of us was capable of giving, and how sincerely we gave it.
The person who gave $5 may have pushed themselves more than the person who gave $500.
Allah knows best.
I am not here to rank anybody’s gift. I am here to say that every donation mattered. Every donor helped move us across this first milestone. Every act of generosity, large or small, helped tell our team on the ground in Gaza that we are serious, that we are moving, and that this school can actually be built.
For that, I am deeply grateful.
🤲🏽 Give your Zakat, sadaqah, or tax-deductible donation here
Now I need us to understand where we are.
Crossing $50,000 is a beautiful milestone, but the full project goal is $250,000. We still need to raise $197,546 to fully fund this school. In the simplest possible terms, we have to do what we just did roughly four more times.
I know that sounds big, but I also know we can do it.
Enough people are seeing these messages for us to raise this full amount. Enough people care about Gaza’s children. Enough people have not given yet, not because they do not care, but because they have not yet decided that this is the moment they are going to step forward.
So I want to speak directly to the people who have not yet donated.
Let the first 445 donors inspire you.
They went first. They proved this campaign has life. They proved that people still care. They proved that the orphans of Gaza are not alone.
Now I need you to join them.
📚 Donate today and help us move from $52,454 to $100,000
The next milestone is $100,000.
That means we need $47,546 more to get there.
If we reach $100,000, it will send a powerful message to our team in Gaza that this campaign is not slowing down after the first milestone. It will show them that we are serious about getting construction funds to them next month. It will show them that we are not just celebrating progress, but building on it.
This school is being designed for orphaned children in Gaza ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. These are children who should be learning to read, write, count, study Qur’an, ask questions, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name. Instead, many have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase all of that pain, but it can give children structure again. It can give them a morning routine, a desk, a teacher, a courtyard, a safe place to play, counselling support, and adults who are invested in their future.
That is what your donation is helping build.
🇵🇸 Please give now and help us build this school for Gaza’s orphans
The proposed school will include 6 fully equipped classrooms with space for approximately 270 children, around 45 students per classroom. It will include 6 washrooms, each with its own separate exterior entrance, an administrative office, a teachers’ room, a dedicated counsellor’s space, solar power support, electrical infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.
This project is organized by Human Concern International with Shaun King. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible. And I want to be clear again: I am a full-time employee of Human Concern International and have been for more than 2 years. I do not receive fees, commissions, percentages, bonuses, or personal compensation from this fundraiser.
Not a penny.
I am doing this because these children deserve more than emergency survival. They deserve education, healing, safety, and hope. And after seeing us cross $50,000, our team on the ground has even more reason to believe we can fully fund this school.
If you already gave, thank you. Truly. If you can give again, please do. If you have not given yet, this is the moment I am asking you to join us.
Give $5 if that is what you can give.
Give $50 if that is what you can give.
Give $500 if you can.
Give $5,000 if Allah has placed that capacity in your hands.
And if you are the person, family, masjid, business, or foundation that can give $25,000, $100,000, or even cover a huge portion of the remaining need, I am asking you directly to step forward now.
🕌 Donate now and help us reach the next milestone: $100,000
The first $50,000 is behind us.
Now we push to $100,000.
Then $150,000.
Then $200,000.
Then the full $250,000, insha’Allah.
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people who care about Gaza, children, education, mercy, and justice. Tell them we crossed the first $50,000, and now we need everyone who has not yet given to help carry us to $100,000.
I am grateful for every donor who got us here.
Now let’s keep going.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
