🏫 We crossed $100,000 for our school for young orphans in Gaza. Now we need $150,000 by Tuesday!
803 donors have brought us this far. Help us unlock the $10,000 LaunchGood bonus for Gaza’s orphan school.
As-Salaam-Alaikum and good afternoon to each of you!
My friends, it is Friday after Jummah, and I want to begin with gratitude.
We just crossed $100,000.
As of right now, 803 donors have raised $102,444 to help build a school for orphaned children in Gaza. That is a major milestone, and I do not want to rush past it. More than 800 people have now stepped forward and said, with their giving, that Gaza’s orphaned children deserve classrooms, teachers, books, counselling, safety, and a future.
Alhamdulillah.
But we cannot let this become the place where we slow down.
We need to reach at least $150,000 by Tuesday night to unlock the $10,000 LaunchGood bonus for this school.
That means we need to raise $47,556 more by Tuesday.
🏫 Donate now and help us reach $150,000 by Tuesday night
Crossing $100,000 proves this can be done. It proves the vision is real. It proves that enough people care. It proves that when we ask clearly, consistently, and urgently, people respond.
But this school is not built at $100,000.
The team on the ground in Gaza cannot build the full school with a partial campaign. They need the funds to move. The children need us to finish. And LaunchGood has now given us a powerful reason to push harder: if we reach $150,000 by Tuesday night, they will add $10,000 to the project.
That bonus is not symbolic. It can help pay for real construction, real classrooms, real infrastructure, and real support for these children.
And if we keep going all the way to the full $250,000 goal, LaunchGood will increase the bonus to $20,000 total.
So today, the next clear mountain is $150,000.

For Muslims, we are still in the sacred days of Dhul Hijjah, the days leading into Eid al-Adha. These are days when we are taught to increase in prayer, charity, sacrifice, mercy, and good deeds. For those who are not Muslim, I want to explain it simply: this is one of the most spiritually important times of the year for nearly 2 billion Muslims, and giving to orphans, the poor, the displaced, and the oppressed carries deep meaning in these days.
And whether you are Muslim or not, this project is something all of us can understand.
Children in Gaza have lost parents.
They have lost homes.
They have lost schools.
They have lost two years of normal childhood.
And now we have a chance to help build a safe, structured, dignified school where hundreds of orphaned children can learn again.
This school is being designed for children ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. It will include 6 fully equipped classrooms, space for approximately 270 children, 6 washrooms, an administrative office, a teachers’ room, a dedicated counsellor’s space, solar power support, electrical infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.
A school will not erase all of the trauma these children have endured, but it can give them a daily rhythm again. It can give them a teacher who knows their name, a desk to sit at, a courtyard to play in, counselling support for grief, and adults who are committed to their future.
That matters.
For a child who has lost almost everything, that kind of stability can become a lifeline.
📚 Help us build this school for Gaza’s orphaned children
Here is where we stand right now:
$102,444 raised
803 donors
$47,556 needed to reach $150,000
$147,556 remaining to fully fund the school
1,197 more donors needed to reach 2,000 total donors
If 1,197 more people give, the average gift needed to fully fund the school is about $123
That is why I keep saying we do not need everyone in the world. We need the next right group of people to step forward.
We need the person who can give $5 and refuses to sit this out.
We need the person who can give $50 after Jummah.
We need the person who can give $123 and help us hit the average needed from the next wave of donors.
We need donors who can give $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000 during these blessed days.
And I am still praying for the person, family, masjid, church, business, or foundation that can give $100,000 or cover a major portion of the remaining need.

This project is organized by Human Concern International. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible.
And I want to say this clearly again: I am a full-time employee of Human Concern International and have been for more than 2 years. I do not receive fees or personal compensation from this fundraiser.
Not a penny.
I am pushing this because Gaza’s orphaned children deserve more than emergency survival. They deserve education, protection, healing, and hope. They deserve a place that tells them, in the language of action, that their lives still matter and their future is still worth building.
We crossed $100,000.
Now we need $150,000 by Tuesday night.
Then we keep going until the full $250,000 is raised and this school can be built.
🏗️ Please give now and help us unlock the $10,000 LaunchGood bonus
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people who care about Gaza, children, education, mercy, and justice. Tell them we crossed 800 donors, we passed $100,000, and now we need to reach $150,000 by Tuesday night to unlock the $10,000 bonus.
We are absolutely going to build this school, insha’Allah.
No turning back.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
