🏫 We are just $8,737 away from $100,000 for the school for young orphans in Gaza! Help us build it!
693 supporters have raised $91,263. Now we need the next wave to carry us past a major milestone.
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
My friends, it is Thursday at about noon here in New Jersey, and I need us to move with focus and urgency today.
Right now, 693 supporters have raised $91,263 to help build a school for orphaned children in Gaza. That is not a small thing. That is nearly 700 people saying, with their money and their mercy, that Gaza’s orphans deserve classrooms, teachers, books, counselling, a safe courtyard, and a real place to learn again.
But today, we have to cross $100,000.
We are $8,737 away.
🏫 Donate now and help us cross $100,000 today
I want to be very clear about where we are. Crossing $100,000 today does not fully fund the school, but it proves that we are moving with enough strength to keep going. It keeps us on pace toward the $150,000 threshold we need to reach in order to unlock the $10,000 LaunchGood bonus, and it tells our team on the ground in Gaza that this community is not slowing down.
We are not turning back.
We are absolutely going to build this school, insha’Allah. I need us to say that and then act like it is true. Because the hard truth remains the same: this school only gets built if we raise the funds. The team can plan, prepare, design, coordinate, and believe in us, but they cannot build classrooms with hope alone. Hope has to become donations. Donations have to become construction. Construction has to become a school. And that school has to become a safe daily rhythm for hundreds of orphaned children in Gaza.

This school is being designed for orphaned children ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. These are children who should be learning how to read, write, count, study Qur’an, ask questions, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name. Instead, many have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase what has been done to them, but it can give them structure again. It can give them a morning routine, a desk, a whiteboard, a teacher, a courtyard, counselling support, friendship, play, and adults who are invested in their future.
For a child who has lost almost everything, that is not a small gift. That is mercy made real.
The proposed school includes 6 fully equipped classrooms with space for approximately 270 children, around 45 students per classroom. It includes 6 washrooms, each with its own separate exterior entrance, an administrative office, a teachers’ room, a dedicated counsellor’s space, solar power support, electrical infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.
📚 Help us move from $91,263 to $100,000 right now
Here is the math for today. We need $8,737 to cross $100,000. That could be 2 donors giving $5,000, 9 donors giving $1,000, 18 donors giving $500, 88 donors giving $100, 175 donors giving $50, 874 donors giving $10, or any combination of gifts large and small.
And after we cross $100,000, we keep pushing.
We need $58,737 to reach $150,000 and stay in position for the $10,000 LaunchGood bonus. We still need $158,737 to fully fund the school. Those numbers are serious, but yesterday and the day before proved something important: when people understand the urgency, they give. When enough of us move together, the impossible starts to break into pieces we can actually carry.
This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. We need the person who can give $5 and refuses to sit this out. We need the donor who can give $50 or $100 today. We need families who can give $500 or $1,000. We need the people who can give $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, or $100,000 to step forward now, because large gifts in this window can change the entire pace of the campaign.

We are still in sacred days for Muslims, and I know many non-Muslims are reading this as well. For Muslims, these days are a time when we are taught to increase in righteous deeds, charity, sacrifice, and mercy. For everyone else with a soft heart toward Gaza, this is still a powerful moment to do something concrete for children who have endured more than any child should ever have to carry.
You do not have to share my faith to share this mercy.
You do not have to know every detail of Dhul Hijjah to understand that orphaned children in Gaza deserve a safe place to learn.
This project is organized by Human Concern International. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible. And I want to be clear again: I am a full-time employee of Human Concern International and have been for more than 2 years. I do not receive fees or personal compensation from this fundraiser.
Not a penny.
I am doing this because Gaza’s orphaned children deserve more than emergency survival. They deserve education, safety, structure, healing, and hope. Our team on the ground believes this school can be built, and every milestone we cross strengthens that belief.
Today, I need us to cross $100,000.
Then we push to $150,000.
Then we keep going until the full $250,000 is raised and the school can be built.
🏗️ Please give now and help us build this school for Gaza’s orphans
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people who care about Gaza, children, education, mercy, and justice. Tell them we are $8,737 away from $100,000, we need all hands on deck today, and we are not turning back.
We are going to build this school.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

Thank you each so very much! We can do this!!
