🏫 We are just 10 donors away from 600 for the new school for orphans we are building in Gaza! Please join us TONIGHT, OK?
Together we are strong! I know we can do this. We must!
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
My friends, it is Tuesday evening, almost 6pm here in New Jersey, and we are close enough to the next milestone that I need us to push hard tonight.
Right now, 590 supporters have raised $67,028 to help us build a school for orphaned children in Gaza.
That means we are just $2,972 away from $70,000.
We are also only 10 donors away from 600 supporters.
And after we cross $70,000, I need us to keep moving toward $75,000, which is only $7,972 away from where we are right now. I know these numbers still look big, but this is exactly how a school gets built. One donor, one family, one masjid, one friend group, one generous act at a time.
🏫 Donate now and help us cross $70,000 tonight
I want us to remember what is at stake here. This school does not get built because we care. It does not get built because the sketch is beautiful. It does not get built because the need is obvious. It only gets built if we raise the funds.
Painfully, it is that simple.
The team on the ground in Gaza can prepare. They can plan. They can believe in us. They can get ready to move. But they cannot build classrooms, washrooms, counselling space, solar support, fencing, and a safe courtyard with good intentions alone. Good intentions have to become donations. Donations have to become construction. Construction has to become a school. And that school has to become a daily place of safety and learning for hundreds of orphaned children.
That is the bridge we are building right now.
🤲🏽 Give your Zakat, sadaqah, or tax-deductible donation here
This school is being designed for orphaned children in Gaza ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. These are children who should be learning how to read, write, count, study Qur’an, ask questions, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name.
Instead, many have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase all of that pain, but it can give children structure again. It can give them a morning routine, a desk, a whiteboard, a teacher, a courtyard, counselling support, friendship, play, and adults who are invested in their future.
For children who have lost so much, that is not small. It is a mercy. It is a lifeline. It is a way of saying to them that their lives still matter and their future is still worth building.
The proposed school includes 6 fully equipped classrooms with space for approximately 270 children, around 45 students per classroom. It includes 6 washrooms, each with its own separate exterior entrance, an administrative office, a teachers’ room, a dedicated counsellor’s space, solar power support, electrical infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.
📚 Help us move from $67,028 to $75,000 for Gaza’s orphan school
Here is the math for tonight.
We need $2,972 to reach $70,000. We need $7,972 to reach $75,000. We need $32,972 to reach $100,000. And to fully fund the school, we still need $182,972.
My best estimate is that if we can find about 1,410 more donors, we can finish this campaign. That would bring us to about 2,000 donors total, and the average gift needed from those new donors would be about $130 each. Some people will give more. Some will give less. Some will give $5. Some will give $50. Some will give $500, $1,000, $5,000, or more. The point is not that everybody has to give the same amount. The point is that enough of us have to decide that this school matters enough to act.
We need the donor who can give $5 and refuses to sit this out. We need the donor who can give $50 and forward this to friends. We need the donor who can give $130 and help us hit the average we need. We need donors who can give $500, $1,000, or $5,000 and move the campaign tonight. And I am still praying for the person, family, masjid, business, or foundation that can give $25,000, $100,000, or cover a major portion of the remaining need.

We are still in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, which Muslims believe are the most blessed days of the year for doing good deeds. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that righteous deeds in these days are especially beloved to Allah. For Muslims, this is a beautiful time to give Zakat and sadaqah. For those who are not Muslim, but who have a big heart and care about Gaza’s children, this is still a powerful moment to stand with us.
This project is organized by Human Concern International. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible.
And I want to be clear again: I am a full-time employee of Human Concern International and have been for more than 2 years. I do not receive fees or personal compensation from this fundraiser.
Not a penny.
I am doing this because Gaza’s orphaned children deserve more than emergency survival. They deserve education, safety, structure, healing, and hope. Our team on the ground believes this school can be built, and every milestone we cross strengthens that belief.
Tonight, I want us to cross $70,000.
Then I want us to push to $75,000.
Then we keep going to $100,000.
And then we do not stop until the full $250,000 is raised and this school can be built, insha’Allah.
🏗️ Please give now and help us build this school for Gaza’s orphans
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people who care about Gaza, children, education, mercy, and justice. Tell them we are $2,972 away from $70,000, just 10 donors away from 600 supporters, and urgently pushing toward $75,000.
We are so close to the next milestone.
Let’s keep moving.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

I won't stop until we build this school.
I've given every penny I have, Shaun. I've gone into so much debt for Gaza I don't have enough to live on but I'd gladly do it again. I'm sure you'll get the right people to fund this, my friend! 🙏
