🌙 We almost finished #1 in the world yesterday—then a $27,000 donation knocked us to #2
Warm Iftar meals nightly. $124,821 raised. Help us build “yesterday” into a habit.
As-Salaam-Alaikum and Ramadan Mubarak, my sisters and brothers.
I need to start today by telling you the truth: yesterday was our most successful day yet. Alhamdulillah.
For almost the entire evening, we were in 1st place in the world on LaunchGood’s daily contest.
Then, in the final minutes, a single large donor dropped $27,000 into another campaign and knocked us into 2nd place.
I’m not even mad at them. That other campaign is doing important work too. And it was actually one of my colleagues at Human Concern, the charity we work for.
But I need you to understand what that moment revealed—because it’s the lesson for all of Ramadan:
Momentum matters. Consistency matters. And Gaza can’t live off one great day.
Right now, our campaign total is $124,821 with 1,272 supporters.
If you’re ready to give today, please donate here: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan.
And before anything else, let me say this clearly—because this is how I’m going to speak all month:
This fundraiser is tax-deductible.
It is Zakat-eligible.
And I do not receive a percentage or a single penny from this fundraiser. I take $0. Not a fee. Not a cut. Not a commission.
Now let’s talk about what Gaza needs from us.
We need “yesterday” every day
Our goal is $1.5 million this Ramadan to provide warm Iftar meals nightly to as many Palestinian families in Gaza as humanly possible.
And the honest truth is: if we want to hit that goal, we need a day like yesterday every single day of Ramadan.
Not because I’m chasing a leaderboard.
Because families are chasing food.
In Gaza, the sun still goes down every night. The call to prayer still comes every night. And families still have to break the fast every night—even when there’s nothing in the house.
So today I’m asking you to help me do something that fundraising campaigns rarely achieve:
Turn a great day into a daily habit.

Why I’m going to keep asking you, every day
I know people get overwhelmed. I know people get tired. I know people want to “take a break” from suffering.
But Gaza doesn’t get a break.
Gaza has been forced to endure devastation for over two years. And when the world looks away, it doesn’t slow down—it speeds up. When people stop paying attention, hunger doesn’t pause. Trauma doesn’t pause. Death doesn’t pause.
Ramadan is the month where we practice hunger to remember the hungry.
So I’m not going to whisper.
I’m going to ask you plainly: please feed Gaza at Iftar.
Donate here: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan.
The special reward of giving in Ramadan
If you are Muslim, you already know the reward of giving in this month. This is the month where your charity doesn’t just land—it multiplies. This is the month where mercy is written bigger. This is the month where feeding a fasting person carries a reward like theirs.
And if you’re not Muslim, here’s the plain meaning: Ramadan is a global practice of empathy— when people choose hunger they can feel just a tiny glimpse of what Gaza lives every day. Gaza didn’t choose hunger. Gaza had it forced on them.
So when you give right now, you are doing something sacred:
You are turning your worship into warmth.
Your belief into bread.
Your prayer into a plate of food.
Please donate: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan.
How you can help today—without overthinking it
I’m not asking you to do a dissertation on geopolitics. I’m not asking you to “solve Gaza.”
I’m asking you to choose a number and move.
If you can give $10, give it.
If you can give $25, give it.
If you can give $50, give it.
If you can give $100, give it.
If you can give $250 or $1,000, give it—and know that this is exactly what this moment is for.
And if you already donated yesterday, I’m asking you to do one more thing today:
Bring one person with you.
That is how we replace the “one big donor at the last minute” with something stronger—a community that moves together.

A quick message you can copy/paste to 3 people right now
If you want to help but money is tight, sharing is still powerful. Send this to three people:
We raised $124,821 for warm Iftar meals in Gaza and were #1 in the world yesterday until a last-minute $27,000 donation knocked us to #2. We need a day like yesterday every day of Ramadan to hit $1.5M. Zakat-eligible + tax-deductible and Shaun takes $0. And if you can donate right now, here is the link again: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan.
What I’m praying for today
I’m praying that we don’t let yesterday become a memory.
I’m praying we let it become a pattern.
Because if we can build that kind of daily momentum, the meals become consistent. The planning becomes stable. The impact becomes massive.
And families in Gaza—families who have been pushed past what any family should endure—get to break their fast with something warm, something decent, something that says: you still matter to somebody.
Thank you for what you’ve already done.
Now I’m asking you to help us do it again today.
Donate here: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

Thank you all SOOOOOO much for donating.
