Up until today, I had a lot of faith in your reporting vis-a-vis Israel’s siege of all things Palestinian, but I find your report on Ukraine’s theft of foreign funding by members of Zelinsky’s administration downright irresponsible. Yes, monies have been stolen, it illustrates corruption by some who have absconded, but some have been arrested. The arrests are the result of an anti-corruption policy adopted in 2014. The arrests illustrate Zelinsky’s commitment to anti-corruption and that his government works.
As a seasoned reporter, I’m sure you’re aware that defeat of Putin’s war is crucial to the survival of Europe. It may seem abstract to an American whose heart and soul is so invested in justice for Palestinians that Ukraine is just an unnecessary expense, but it is far more than that. Ukraine must defeat Putin and his imperial warmongering because it not only will preserve European liberal democracy. It will deter Trump’s fascism bent on destroying democracy and, very importantly, deter other states inclined to rattle their own imperialistic sabres around the globe.
I humbly suggest that you follow up on your initial report of American funding to Ukraine to give your supporters more details on how fragile our current geopolitical situation is and why Americans should continue rallying around funding Ukraine because it must win this war.

Several years ago when you founded the North Star I sent you a $100.00 to get for a subscription as a founding member., For my $100 I was blocked by you on Twitter and I didn't get the North Star paid subscription benefits and I was unable to contact you to ask why I was blocked on Twitter, which I had belonged to pre-Elon Musk's purchase of same, but being blocked I was unable to access Twitter or your newsletter. I subsequently tried to quit Twitter (now X) but I do not know if I was able to or not. As you cannot just cancel your member ship, you have wait thirty days or some bullshit. So I have grave doubts about sending you money now. I completely sympathize with your position on the genocide in Gaza, the genocide in Sudan and the hijinks in Ukraine. I know our country is racist and misogynist. I have lived it and seen it for 77 years I am seriously concerned for the survival of our country as a Democracy and for the survival of the human race on earth. I would love to talk to someone about what happened with my original subscription to the North Star. But my attempts to contact anyone in your org were completely unsuccessful. So while I agree with your opinions on many things I do not trust your org to treat me fairly.
Relying on God to insure that people won't submit to greed has the same effect as thoughts and prayers have in stopping the massacres of children in schools.
One might think that the western officials that were aware of the theft and did nothing to stop it might have a hand in the corruption.
