Sisters and brothers - after you read this, I am dying to know what you are thinking about it all. This woman just sacrificed her biggest supporter to stand up for Gaza, against Israel, and for the victims of Epstein.

My intuition, as a woman, is that MTG sincerely feels protecting men (or women) in the Epstein files is despicable. Also, funding

Israel at the expense of our own citizens is criminal. And I do feel that these two issues are deeply intertwined.

So, I do agree with your article. And I think those in the MAGA cult that turn against Trump for any reason will be applauded by those on the Left!

We need more and more people to turn to our side. It is the only way we can win and stop the genocide in Gaza.

Well written, Shaun.

I never thought MTG would be a voice of courage in a party of cowards. It gives me great hope that maybe Trump supporters (except for hardcore MAGA) are waking up to realize Trump is a narcissistic grifter who couldn't care less about them, and nothing more.

Most importantly, a speedy recovery for your mother-in-law.

Like you, I've thought of MTG as politically off base. But since getting disillusioned with the dems in general, I've come to regard her with more respect, and not only on Gaza. Just want to point out one omission in your piece -- when you listed the parties to the "strange alliance" against the genocide, you forgot to mention the many Jews who are aghast at what is happening. And many of them speak out. Let us welcome and appreciate them.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, hasn’t “changed”—she merely sees the writing on the wall—that Trump is going to die soon. She’s still a grifter at heart, a racist, an opportunist. But I guess, accept your Frenemies where you can find them, in this kind of world.

I’ve been watching her in interviews a lot. I’ve also been reading some of the stuff she posts—and the crazy is still there. I know people CAN change, Shaun. I’ve witnessed it. I’ve written about it. I hope you’re right. Just watch your back with this one. 🧡⚖️

The United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Türkiye express their joint support for the Security Council Resolution currently under consideration, drafted by the United States after consultation and in cooperation with Council members and partners in the region.

The UNSC Draft Resolution is a new form of occupation contravening International Law. The resolution, like the plan it endorses, is not anchored in an international legal framework but rather creates a parallel rules-based order based on security and foreign control.

Many experts and lawyers considered the plan is a new occupation and recreation of the British Mandate in Palestine.

You can read more about this here: https://law4palestine.org/policy-brief-the-gaza-peace-plan-the-unsc-draft-resolution-as-a-new-form-of-occupation-contravening-international-law/

HOW WE CAN COUNTER THIS:

Stand in solidarity with Colombia and President Petro to strongly condemn the threats, intimidation, and sanctions by the US and support Colombia's stand for Palestine and it's Uniting for Peace resolution (drafted but not yet proposed). Colombia needs the world's support at this critical juncture to keep standing up for Palestinian sovereignty and to bring the proposal forward to the UN General Assembly.

Two specific requests:

1. For Organizations: Sign solidarity letter to President Petro (to be presented Nov 17) and the letter to global state leaders: https://cryptpad.fr/form/#/2/form/view/GNpKlxmxFI8F3uhYR8ZWe2rieqOaaNAVLKZfMwsoJ5w/

2. For Everyone: On Monday, November 17th, help mobilize your community to create a friendly solidarity gathering outside the Colombian embassy / consulate to show support for Colombia’s stand for Palestine. [Number in group not important, but photo Op is as will compile these for Colombia and press. Have Colombian and Palestinian flags (or signs with drawings of flags with message "We Stand With Colombia’s stand for Palestine!” or "We Stand for Colombia's Stand for UFP!"]

Thank you, Sean. You are so right! It's refreshing to hear another human talk about humans as the complex creatures we are. Obvious to you and me, no one is ALL bad or ALL good. I too applaud MTG, and can't believe I'm doing it! I'm definitely rethinking my opinion of her.

Hey Shaun I live in Turkiye originally from Cameroon. I have been trying to join your subscription but I can’t. It keeps telling me I can’t join from the app.

Is there another way to join? I wish a quick recovery to your mother in law. May Allah make it easy for her and your family.

I applaud MTG for calling out the genocide, which is something I didn't previously believe was plausible, nor did I think she would push this hard for the files to be released. I have to give her credit for these two stances, even if I am not sure about her true intentions and did not previously agree with her on basically anything.

These dark times are bringing together strange alliances though as you said Shaun. Hoping for a swift recovery from your mother in law iA, glad she is stable.

The truth, indomitable and unimpeachable, stands on its own.

AIPAC/Israel is, first and foremost, a clear and immediate threat to the safety of the world.

It is not a lie that men have agreed to buttress.

It is indeed the essence of our existence.

It is why the Matriarch is returning to her rightful place in the universe. Veritas.

»Politics in America has been poisoned by a sick idea: that if someone is your “enemy,” nothing they ever do is good, and if someone is your “hero,” nothing they ever do is bad.«

Yes. It’s not just the US. And it’s by design. One of the few silver linings of the madness we have been through is that watching who stands where slowly releases many people from this idea’s poisonous spell.

»And in that second group, strange alliances are forming — Muslims, Christians, leftists, conservatives, Black folks, white folks, people who never thought they’d stand in the same room, now finding themselves shoulder to shoulder because they cannot stomach what is being done to Palestinians in their name.

That matters more than we know.«

Yes. And may this room ever grow bigger.

As you can easily guess, my political trajectory has been very different to yours.

»Courage is contagious. So is cowardice. We are watching both play out in real time.«

Mikhail Bulgakov could have been right with his claim that cowardice is the worst of all vices.

»My mother-in-law is in the ICU right now after a terrifying scare with blood clots.«

I surely hope she is fine. And I don’t believe this recent increase in blood clot scares to be a natural thing.

»This is the most important thing I’ve written this month.«

I do agree, and I am happy this thing has been written

Don't oversell the change. She hasn't changed from being a racist, she hasn't had a moral epiphany, she's had a similar realization that the 'Valkyre' faction amongst the Reich did, that unless they change SOMETHING, they are doomed.

Back then, the something was basically compromising enough with the 'Western Powers' to be able to get support against the Eastern Allies who were destroying the Reich's military so massively that the Western Powers were no longer retreating.

Now, its compromising enough with the antigenocide forces to be able to keep the anti-imperium alliance from freeing Latin America and Asia (and maybe even Africa).

But even if they do succeed now (or had back then) it probably wouldn't have prevented their loss.

Because even if the economic right wingers of the Republicans and Democrats align (and the 'mainstream' democrats are very much economic right wing apologists) and get the US to break with the Israeli regime it doesn't matter because the biggest economic force for the foreseeable future isn't the US/EU, its the 'Global South'.

PreTrump, both the DNC and RNC backed the efforts to overthrow the governments of Ukraine, Venezuela, Honduras, Cuba, and others because the US (and US/EU) cannot be the strong powers if they can't keep the GS weak.
