The military needs to grow a backbone and pushback. Someone needs to have a sit down with top brass in the military and tell them that THEY will be on the losing end of this hostile takeover.
Then I can never respect those in the military who do love him, no matter what sacrifices they are making. I will only respect those service members who have the best intentions and not blinding allegiance to a despicable person like Trump. I can't even look at neighbors who voted for Trump anymore, that's how disgusted I am.
It seems like just another stunt - without installing the democratically elected opposition candidate, snatching Maduro doesn't change anything in Caracas, unless the US has also armed and is helping the opposition on the ground to overthrow the long-standing illegitimate regime there. Yet it is exactly this that Project 2025 was intended to accomplish at home - to terrorize its own citizens. Who's going to liberate them ..... the ghostbusters!!??
There may have been "cheering crowds" but in Caracas there were defiant people, with guns, ready to defend their country, and the leader who was just kidnapped by the US government. That there are or are not protests, or celebrations, might not be the main concern, but when the MSM chooses to only show one group, and not the other, in order to depict a reality that doesn't exist, that is shameful.
It is time for the people in our government--all of them!--who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, to fulfill their oath. It is time to call them and ask them if they took that oath seriously, or if it was just words. Military members honor that oath with their lives when necessary. What about congress members?
It is time for congress to take back its power and work to govern with honor. It is time for them to overcome their fear of trump and his gang. This path of lawlessness and debauchery we are on is shameful. We do not support it.
