Over the last few weeks, you’ve seen what we’ve been doing here.
We’ve documented Minnesota turning into a test lab, where federal agents have killed people in the street and then tried to smear the victims as “terrorists.” We’ve covered the resignations—people inside the system walking away rather than participate in a cover-up.
We’ve reported on the brutal reality of U.S. detention—where human rights groups and sworn declarations describe beatings, hunger, denial of counsel, and sexual abuse so vile it made me physically sick to read.
And we’ve kept naming the truth about Gaza while powerful men stand in Davos pitching “New Gaza” like a real estate project—skyscrapers and “investment opportunities” over mass graves—while Palestinians are still buried under rubble and still being killed.
Family, I’m not sharing these stories because I enjoy darkness. I’m sharing them because the truth is being smothered—and someone has to keep a light on.
And here’s what I’ve learned after doing this work for years:
When you tell the truth without a paywall, without corporate sponsors, without billionaire “partners,” the only sustainable model is this: the people fund it.
Because if the people don’t fund it, the powerful eventually control it.
They don’t even have to censor you outright. They just starve you. They isolate you. They smear you. They make it too expensive to keep going.

Not because I’m trying to “grow a newsletter.”
Because I’m trying to grow a truth institution that cannot be bought or bullied.

The community is alive.

I’m not willing to let it fade.
Not while Gaza is still bleeding.
Not while immigrants are being brutalized.
Not while the rule of law is being tested in broad daylight.
