I am writing this with a heart that is completely full. Because of you, we have officially sponsored 1,406 orphaned children in Gaza. To the best of my knowledge, this is the most orphans sponsored by any single person’s campaign in the entire world. Because you showed up in such a massive way, we also secured the 1st Place Prize on LaunchGood for the most recurring donors, winning an extra $15,000 that will go directly to these children.

I also want to say thank you for your patience. I know I sent an onslaught of emails and posts over the last 24 hours. I know it was a lot. Thank you for not unsubscribing, for not bailing on me, and for understanding that every single email was an attempt to change a life. You endured the noise so that 1,406 children could have a future, and I will never take your trust for granted.

For my Muslim sisters and brothers, you know the promise of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was an orphan himself. He held up his two fingers close together and said that he and the one who cares for an orphan will be like this in Jannah (Heaven). Today, 1,406 of you secured that proximity.
