Sisi’s Double-Deal: Betraying Palestinians and the Ummah
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi just delivered some of the most hypocritical statements of the year, publicly accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza. But guess what? Just days after denouncing Israel’s war crimes, Sisi signed a $35 billion gas deal with the very country committing these atrocities (Shout out to
),This is the ultimate betrayal. Not just of Palestinians, but of the entire Ummah. Sisi’s words are cheap when his actions are betraying the very people he claims to support. While he criticizes Israel for its genocide, he’s cozying up to Israel’s economic interests. This is the worst kind of political double-dealing, and it’s all about Egypt’s survival at the cost of Palestinian blood.
Let me teach of you something…
When it comes to leaders, ignore their words, and look AT THEIR ACTIONS. Their deeds. These monsters have mastered saying the right words to appease the public while being genocidal collaborators behind the scenes.
The $35 Billion Gas Deal: Egypt’s Complicity in Israel’s Genocide
The $35 billion gas deal is a slap in the face to Palestinians. It’s the largest export agreement in Israel’s history, and it will see Egypt import even more natural gas from Israel’s Leviathan field—the same Israel that has been bombing Gaza and committing genocide. A strong legal argument exists that this gas all belongs to Palestinians anyway.
Egypt is not just buying gas; it’s buying complicity in Israel’s war crimes. The deal also solidifies Egypt’s role as Israel’s energy partner in the region, further entangling Egypt in Israel’s geopolitical web. This is not a partnership based on solidarity—it’s a betrayal of everything Egypt should stand for.
The Hypocrisy of Sisi’s Criticism: Condemnation Without Action
Sisi’s criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza is empty. While he accuses Israel of genocide, he continues to deepen Egypt’s economic ties with the very nation committing these atrocities. It’s the worst kind of moral failure—one that pretends to oppose oppression while secretly supporting it with billions of dollars.
Sisi wants the world to believe he’s standing with Palestinians when, in reality, he’s selling them out for economic gain. By deepening Egypt’s energy ties with Israel, he is playing both sides: speaking out for Palestinians, but selling out their cause for financial interests.
The Long-Term Consequences for Egypt and the Region
Egypt’s failure to act is a betrayal that will resonate across the Arab world and the Muslim community. By strengthening ties with Israel, Egypt risks losing its moral standing in the region. This is not just a failure to help Palestinians—it’s a failure to stand with the people of Gaza and uphold the values of the Ummah.
This deal will have long-lasting consequences for Egypt’s role in the Middle East. While Egypt’s leadership seeks economic deals with Israel, the Palestinian people continue to suffer—and Egypt’s complicity in their oppression grows.
A Call for Solidarity and Accountability
The $35 billion gas deal is the clearest betrayal Egypt’s leadership has made to the Palestinian cause in years. Egypt must end its partnership with Israel and take a stronger stand in defending Palestinian rights. The Arab world and the Ummah must not allow Egypt’s leadership to continue this double-dealing. Egypt’s role as a leader in the region is at stake, and it must be held accountable for its complicity in Israel’s genocidal actions.

I don't even know if I could call it betrayal. This man has never been a friend.
This is so disappointing in light of the 5 steps to forcing an end of the genocide announced by the cohort of Islamic scholars, including CAIR.
Step 2 - embargo on oil and gas that continues to Israeli energy reserves...
Clearly the goal won't be reached by those in power. It will take popular uprising across the Muslim and non-Muslim world to force our governments to do our will.
