Protestants have a history of discriminating against "Papal" Christians, and vice versa, history preceded by several hundreds of years of warfare between Catholics and Protestants. That was actually a major factor for religious freedom being included in our Constitution. A position which many of today's Protestants very much disagree with.
That being said, I'm sure that there are plenty of people, that consider themselves to be "good" Christians, who are more than ready to support Israel's human rights violations as long as they are against the wrong kind of Christians or Islamists.
