🏫 Painfully, it is this simple: we either raise the funds for this school in Gaza or it can’t be built. It's on us.
We’ve raised $63,938. Now we need $11,062 to reach $75,000 and keep moving toward $100,000.
As-Salaam-Alaikum and good afternoon from New Jersey.
My friends, I want to keep today’s message very simple.
This school only gets built if we raise the funds.
That may sound obvious, but I need us to sit with it for a moment. We can have the best intentions in the world. We can have a beautiful sketch. We can have a real team on the ground in Gaza. We can have teachers ready to serve, children who desperately need a safe place to learn, and a community of people who believe this should happen.
But if we do not raise the money, they cannot build the school.
Painfully, it is that simple.
Right now, 564 supporters have raised $63,938 toward the full $250,000 goal. I am grateful for every single person who has gotten us this far, but we are moving too slowly to meet the timeline we need. Our next milestone is $75,000, and we need $11,062 more to get there. After that, we need to push hard to $100,000, which means raising $36,062 from where we are right now.
🏫 Donate now to help us reach $75,000 for Gaza’s orphan school
I know people are tired. I know the needs from Gaza are constant. I know the emails are a lot. I know the asks are repeated. But the children we are trying to serve are not living inside a normal timeline. They do not get to pause their need because we are overwhelmed. They do not get their missed years of school back because the campaign was difficult to fund.
These are orphaned children in Gaza, ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. They should be learning how to read, write, count, study Qur’an, ask questions, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name. Instead, many of them have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase what they have endured, but it can give them something real and urgent: structure, safety, routine, learning, counselling, play, and adults who are invested in their future.
That is what your donation helps build.

The proposed school includes 6 fully equipped classrooms with space for approximately 270 children, around 45 students per classroom. It includes 6 washrooms, each with its own separate exterior entrance, an administrative office, a teachers’ room, a dedicated counsellor’s space, solar power support, electrical infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.
That is the plan.
But the plan does not become a school unless we fund it.
The classrooms do not get built unless we fund them. The washrooms do not get built unless we fund them. The counsellor’s space does not get built unless we fund it. The courtyard, fencing, solar support, desks, whiteboards, and learning materials do not become real for these children unless enough of us decide that this matters and give.
I am not saying that to be dramatic. I am saying it because this is the honest truth of the work.
📚 Help us turn this school from a plan into a real place for children
Here is what we need right now. To reach $75,000, we need $11,062 more. That could be 11 people giving $1,000, 23 people giving $500, 111 people giving $100, 222 people giving $50, 1,107 people giving $10, or any combination of gifts large and small. Then we need to keep moving toward $100,000, because crossing that line would send a powerful message to the team in Gaza that this campaign is not slowing down.
We need every kind of donor. We need the person who can give $5 and refuses to sit this out. We need the person who can give $50 and forward this to friends. We need donors who can give $500, $1,000, or $5,000 and move the campaign meaningfully today. And I am still asking the person, family, masjid, business, or foundation that can give $25,000, $100,000, or cover a major portion of the remaining need to step forward.
This project is organized by Human Concern International. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible.

I am asking because the team on the ground is counting on us. These children are counting on us. And the hard truth is that nobody can build a school with good intentions alone. Good intentions have to become donations. Donations have to become construction. Construction has to become classrooms. And classrooms have to become a safe daily rhythm for hundreds of children who have already lost more than any child should ever have to carry.
We have raised $63,938.
Now we need to cross $75,000.
Then we push to $100,000.
Then we keep going until the full $250,000 is raised and this school can be built, insha’Allah.
🏗️ Please give now and help us build this school for Gaza’s orphans
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people who care about Gaza, children, education, mercy, and justice. Tell them this school only gets built if we raise the funds, and right now we need $11,062 to reach the next milestone.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

I'm not against it. I just wanted to know how safe it will be for these already traumatized children. Thank you for your reply.
How can you build a school in Gaza when there is so much chaos and destruction caused by Israel. Would it have a bullseye on it? Israel does not care who or what they destroy.
