π₯ Only 10 of 535 Members of Congress Have Called It Genocide. That Tells You Everything.
The facts are in. The evidence is overwhelming. And still, 525 members of Congress refuse to say the word. But one of the few who finally did? Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Letβs start with the number: 10.
Thatβs how many current members of Congress β out of 535 β have publicly acknowledged whatβs happening in Gaza for what it is:
A genocide.
Not a conflict.
Not a war.
Not a humanitarian crisis.
Not βboth sides.β
Genocide.
And it meets every legal definition.
Here are the only 10 who have called it what it is:
Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.)
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.)
Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.)
Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.)
Summer Lee (D-Pa.)
Al Green (D-Tex.)
Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.)
Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.)
John Garamendi (D-Calif.)
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)
Yes β you read that last name right.
The first Republican to say it? Marjorie Taylor Greene.
She didnβt just say the word βgenocide.β
She named the violence.
She condemned her own colleague.
She called out the dehumanization of Palestinians by name.
βItβs the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct 7th in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza.β
And she didnβt stop there.
She took aim at Republican Randy Fine, who has openly called for starving civilians in Gaza, saying:
βA Jewish U.S. Representative calling for the continued starvation of innocent people and children is disgraceful.β
βHis awful statement will actually cause more antisemitism.β
Letβs be clear: this doesnβt make Marjorie Taylor Greene a moral hero.
Sheβs said and done things Iβll never defend.
But when even MTG has more courage than the vast majority of the Democratic Party to call a genocide a genocide β that should shame every single politician who claims to care about justice, progress, or international law.
Because if she can find the words β and you canβt β then what does that say about you? I will always give credit where credit is due and she is currently speaking better than almost every Democrat in Congress.
What are the rest of them afraid of?
Are they afraid of being right too soon?
Afraid of the lobbyists?
Afraid of losing endorsements or donors?
Or are they simply so desensitized to the deaths of Muslim, Arab, and brown-skinned people that the word βgenocideβ just feels tooβ¦ political?
Because the law is clear. The U.N. is clear.
Genocide is defined by actions β not by intent.
And the actions in Gaza are plain:
Mass killings
Forced displacement
Starvation as a weapon
Bombing of hospitals, schools, churches, mosques
Systematic destruction of every condition for life
Denial of humanitarian aid
Killing of journalists, first responders, and entire family trees
That is genocide.
If itβs not, then the word means nothing.
So where are the voices?
Where is Cory Booker?
Where is Hakeem Jeffries?
Where is Elizabeth Warren?
Where is the Squad, beyond the core four?
Where is Bernie?
Where are the hundreds of Democrats who cry about βhuman rightsβ every election cycle β but canβt say a single word as babies starve in front of cameras?
The truth is, theyβre not afraid of being wrong.
Theyβre afraid of being right β and then being held accountable for their silence.
Because history is watching.
And their cowardice will not be forgotten.
So hereβs what I say now:
Honor the 10.
Hold the rest accountable.
And never let anyone tell you again that America is a moral leader in the world.
We had our chance.
We had the evidence.
We had the bodies.
And 525 members of Congress looked away.

Don't forget that recent bill to defund the iron dome recently, you remember, the one that got only six votes in favor of it. That bill was introduced by MTG.
