A great martyr from Gaza said just after Oct 7 and I paraphrase (this little city (referring to Gaza) will expose all the hypocrites and colluders and will put to shame all those that are in cahoots and are coordinating (with the Israelis)), I thought at the time he was only refering to the Arabs and Muslims in the region that are doing that. Apparently his scope was much wider. Its all good, its such major events that pull the wool of people's eyes and that is when true heroes of the people rise and imposters are thrown in the dumpster of history.
Sad but I can't say I am surprised. He could've chosen a different phrase as you said Shaun, but he made this statement in full knowledge of what he was doing and the implications it has. For an athlete with the amount of global appeal as he does and the platform he does, to say this, in spite of the ongoing genocide and suffering the last 2+ years, is shameful and pathetic.
I have lost any respect I had for him over the years, as I have felt he just said things for PR and not because he actually believed them, but this is a new low. Athletes can use their platforms to encourage real positive social change, and he did the opposite with this statement. This is music to the ears of those who promote and want to the genocidal occupation to continue
It sounds like he's not the world's brightest light. Also, being too rich makes you stupid, and isolates you from the world. The truly rich don't live in the same world as the rest of us.
I am exhausted of the left thinking that the elite will ever stand with us and expressing disappointment when they don't. We know countless marginalized people who would benefit from collective attention today. The Elite Standing with the Elite Doesn't Merit a Headline!
Wealthy powerful people hear what they want to hear; say what they want to say. The rest of us must not forget that. Lebron is no different from the other messengers of the power elite. It's a terrible shame so many people view him as special in ways that have nothing to do with his talents in sports.
It may be a good thing for us to educate him. Let's send him some information about Israel.
I am the author of A New Praxis for Jail and Prison Ministry. I also authored several published several essays. One in particular entitled, The Prison Industrial Complex in the Evolution of Slavery premise is this: Slavery never ended but is in a state of constant Evolution. Mass Incarceration is the latest manifestation of this evil economic Slavery system. My BA from Georgia State University is in History and Anthropology. My MA is in Urban Ministry. In researching my BA thesis I discovered a book entitled, Forty Million Dollar Slaves: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of the Black Athelete by William C. Rhodes.
It's unfortunate, but most professional athletes aren't chosen for their intellectual attributes. #Fixhistoryandfixtheworld
It's so disgusting. And I don't believe him for a second.
His soul is dead asleep, and tarred by demons it seems.

It's sooooo true.
There's nothing he can do to redeem himself. There are no excuses for what he said.
It's not the first time he's said he supports Israel, actually.
A Zionist anti-vaxxer POS
what a fail.
The fight for the soul of the white Christian man is still not over, it seems
My friend loved her bronny. I’m disgusted for her sake. E smith

Fuck LeBron. I loathe that man child. He’s got the maturity of a 7 year old.
Yes, that was either the most thoughtless kowtowing or the cha-ching of a cash register we heard. Either way, not a good look.
