❌ Instagram Banned Me Again. Quietly. Without Cause. Again.
Meta reinstated my account. Apologized. Verified me. And then — without warning — banned me all over again. No notice. No explanation. Just gone.
🧭 This is why people-powered platforms matter.
We built this space to tell the truth when tech giants silence us.

Just a few days ago, I was stunned to receive an email from Meta.
It said:
“You’re back on Instagram, @shaunking. You can use your account again.”
“We reviewed your activity and found that your account does follow our Community Standards.”
“We’re sorry we got this wrong.”
After 19 months of being completely banned — and after being told my account and all of its data had been permanently deleted — they apologized. They reversed the decision. They made it public again.
My account was live.
Verified. Visible.
5.5 million followers. 6,037 posts. Not a single one removed.
But I couldn’t log in.
They’d disabled password reset.
I was locked out — even while the account was visible and active.
Then they let me reset my password.
I logged into the account.
My old DM’s were all there — including ones with close friends who have since passed away.
I messaged so many of my friends in Gaza for the first time in 19 months.
Then as I was literally getting ready to make my first post, I was booted out and the account was disabled again.
It’s gone.
They removed me again.
Quietly. Silently.
No warning. No explanation. No appeal.
What does that tell you?
That the account was never truly deleted — they had it the whole time
That the ban was never about danger — it was about control
That the reinstatement wasn’t a mistake — it was real
And that the moment it became inconvenient again, they pulled the plug
They’re not afraid of me breaking rules.
They’re afraid of me reaching people.
Of telling the truth without apology.
Of showing the receipts they work so hard to bury.
I will not beg for access to a platform that fears the truth.
Alhamdulillah. Allah is the best of planners.
I trust Allah and His plan for my life.
When the account was restored, I told myself:
If it works, it’s the will of Allah.
If it doesn’t work, it’s still the will of Allah.
And I accept that.
I accept this moment.
I accept that some doors are closed to protect me — not to harm me.
And I trust that the truth will reach who it's meant to reach, with or without Instagram.
I will not grovel for a seat at a table that keeps trying to erase me.
And I will not stop.
This platform right here — built by you, funded by the people — already reached 22 million visits last month. We’re ranked #3 in News on Substack. And we’re growing every day, despite it all.
They can ban the account. But they can’t ban the work.

Thank you all for your support anyway. Love and appreciate each of you.
Oh, no! Not again! I guess you should never trust Meta to do anything honest and helpful. At least you're here and we can read you. Meta is stupid to cancel you.
