💛 I’m sorry for emailing so much. But if it's a choice between getting on your nerves for feeding families in Gaza, I will get on your nerves OK?
I hate bothering you. I hate hunger more. Two links inside: meals + orphans.
As-Salaam-Alaikum my sisters and brothers,
I need to start with an apology.
I know I’m emailing a lot tonight. I know it can be annoying. And truly—it’s not my preference.
But here’s the honest truth: I’m choosing between two things.
I can either get on your nerves, or I can feed people and care for orphans in Gaza.
And I’m going to choose Gaza every single time.
If you’ve been with me long enough, you already know this: when I don’t email, giving slows. And when giving slows, food doesn’t get purchased. Meals don’t get cooked. Families don’t eat. Orphans don’t get sponsored.
I wish I could send one email and the money these causes need just flows in.
It’s not like that.
This is work. It’s persistence. It’s knocking again. It’s asking again. It’s building momentum one person at a time.
Tonight may be Laylatul Qadr (pronounced “LIE-lah-tool KAH-dr”)—the Night of Power, described in the Qur’an as “better than a thousand months” (Qur’an 97:3). In plain English for everyone: many Muslims believe tonight is a rare, once-a-year moment where giving carries extraordinary spiritual weight.
So yes—I’m going to keep showing up in your inbox tonight, because people in Gaza are hungry tonight, and children in Gaza are orphaned tonight, and the world isn’t going to save them.
We will.
Here are the two ways to help right now. Please choose one (or both):
Option A: Fund warm Iftar meals for families in Gaza (immediate impact tonight)
support the people of Gaza this Ramadan
Option B: Sponsor a newly orphaned child in Gaza (long-term stability for a child)
support orphans with Shaun
If you’re not sure what to pick, here’s the simplest way:
Meals = “feed a family tonight.”
Orphans = “carry a child for the long road.”
Meals link again: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan
Orphans link again: support orphans with Shaun
A few things I always keep crystal clear:
Donations are tax-deductible where applicable (you’ll receive a receipt through the platform/charity).
This giving is Zakat-eligible / Zakat-verified.
And I do not receive a percentage or a single penny from either campaign—I take $0.
And if you can’t donate tonight, please do the next most powerful thing: forward this email to three people who can. That alone can change the outcome.
Thank you for your patience with me tonight. I mean it.
I’m not trying to be loud. I’m trying to keep people alive.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

Important work being of service to those in need! I will never be annoyed by someone asking for help for children and people trying in need. Thank you for taking the risk of being annoying to those who don’t yet get it.
Perfectly said, Shaun. Please never apologise. I feel so bad for having no money to offer. There are a few families I pledged to support in Gaza and giving to them has pushed me into debt. Anyone whose nerves are jangled by an email like this really should take a look at themselves...
