We have no idea how many people they've killed in these concentration camps.

The unquestionable answer is independent oversight and prosecutions outside the agency. I'm so ashamed of this country. Rest in peace, Geraldo Lunas Campo.

Something Democrats and Republicans have rejected for generations.

Welcome my friend.

Having ICE investigate ICE echoes having the IDF investigate IDF murders of Palestinians ie Hind Rejab and her family members or journalists. Demand mandatory independent investigators outside of ICE. Further, if ICE tactics seem similar to the IDF it's not a coincidence. It's been reported that IDF personnel train ICE agents right here in America.

Your reporting is North Star quality. Thank you for naming β€œthe greater truth,” and highlighting the massive human rights abuses in our country.

Thank you Judith. I’m trying my best

I’m so shocked and I don’t understand how congress keeps letting this go. It must be nice to just fail to do their job every single job in every single way and still get a check and make rent.

My district representative has held a firm line and continues to say there are a select few people that will not let anyone get things done.

It’s about damn time someone loses their job.

When I don’t pay rentβ€” I get evicted.

When I fail to do my jobβ€” I get reprimanded and then fired for continued failure.

This is not a democracy if a few people can vote to dismantle internal policy JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT TO.

This is a selfish and ugly cycle and I pray to God every day that someone knows what they’re doing. Things like this make me physically ill. It’s harder to recover my mentality every time. I feel old in the fact that I can’t help but see more evil in the world. It’s just harder to see and dream of peace.

I’m a huge believer in Dr. MLK and we fail him every time because it’s not impossible but we let a few selfish people hold us back from making something actually great of this country.

I used to wonder who and how we would be when America was no longer America. I am seeing it daily and it's quite ugly.

They have no regard or care as to this man’s legal status. He didn’t look like they did and they’ve been told in no uncertain terms you pick up everybody that doesn’t look white enough. So if I see the presidentβ€˜s wife or the vice presidentβ€˜s wife walking around, I should call the cops and have them arrest them. Shouldn’t I? But was most of Congress under the thumb of Israel to brutalize another country. How do we ever think we’re getting out of this without brute force back on the offenders?

In the USA, not Iran. Yet Democrats still think ICE should exist.

I've read this article and thought about Cuba. Why did those Cubans think they were better than the black Cubans they left behind and those they've discriminated against over here? Why didn't Mr. Campo and his family think they would have been better had they re-made there country over there?

This story is all too full of classism, colorism and gentrification. Cubans have never treated Afro, Cuban and many other Afro-ethnics. Just the way ICE is treating them.Did they never think it would happen again.
