🏫 Eid Mubarak and THANK YOU! We Crossed $185,000 for Gaza’s Orphan School and Received the LaunchGood Award!

Because of 1,618 donors, we unlocked the LaunchGood award and are closer than ever to building this school.

My friends, I just want to say thank you.

Because of 1,618 donors, we have now raised $185,725 to help build a school for young orphans in Gaza.

Alhamdulillah.

We crossed the $150,000 milestone. We received the $10,000 LaunchGood award for the project. And we are now closer than we have ever been to fully funding this school for young orphans in Gaza.

I am grateful for every single person who gave.

Some people gave thousands. Some gave hundreds. Some gave $50. Some gave $5. Some gave even less than that, but gave from the heart.

And I want to say again what I believe deeply: Allah knows what each of us is capable of giving. Allah knows what is easy for us and what stretches us. Allah knows the sacrifice behind the gift. The person who gave $5 may have given from a place of greater sacrifice than someone else who gave $500.

Allah knows best.

In Islam, orphans hold a sacred place in our hearts and in our obligations. Again and again, the Qur’an commands us to care for them, protect them, honor them, and never mistreat them. And the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that he and the one who cares for an orphan will be close together in Paradise, and he held his fingers together to show that closeness.

So when we are helping build this school, we are not just funding a building.

We are acting on a sacred responsibility.

This school will include 6 classrooms, space for approximately 270 children, 6 washrooms, a teachers’ room, an administrative office, a dedicated counselor’s space, solar power support, secure fencing, and an outdoor artificial grass play area.

It is a place for children who have lost so much to learn again.

To play again.

To have structure again.

To sit with teachers who know their names.

To begin healing, insha’Allah.

Now we have to finish.

The full goal is $250,000, which means we still need $64,275 more to fully fund this school.
