🟥 The Mouthpiece of Genocide

For nearly two years, Matthew Miller stood behind the podium of the U.S. State Department, speaking for Joe Biden and Antony Blinken. He became the smooth, steady face of America’s defense of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

No lie was too big for him to tell. No massacre too obvious for him to spin. No war crime too documented for him to deflect.

When journalists asked why children were being bombed in tents, Miller said Israel had “the right to defend itself.” When reporters showed him images of babies dying from hunger, he insisted there was “no evidence of famine.” When confronted with international law, he pivoted, twisted, and denied.

He was, without question, the most visible American voice defending genocide. He never met a moment where he wasn’t willing to defend Israel at all costs.

🩸 Now He Admits What He Denied

Now, out of power, Matthew Miller has started to talk. On Israeli television, he admitted that the Biden administration knew Prime Minister Netanyahu was “completely intransigent” and repeatedly sabotaging hostage and ceasefire deals.

One of the most chilling parts of Miller’s interview is what he admits Netanyahu said privately: that Israel expected to be “fighting this war for decades to come.” Let that sink in. Not weeks. Not months. Not even years. Decades. This was never once mentioned in a State Department briefing.

Like…WTF.

Never once admitted to the American public. While Miller stood at the microphone parroting talking points about ceasefires, negotiations, and “temporary pauses,” he knew the Prime Minister of Israel was openly preparing for endless war — an entire generation of bloodshed. And instead of sounding the alarm, instead of exposing the truth, Miller and the Biden administration buried it, protecting Israel’s image while Gaza burned.

He described moments when the U.S. came close to announcing a breakthrough — only for Netanyahu to add new conditions at the last minute. He recounted April 2024, when the U.S. was pushing Hamas to accept a deal to prevent the Rafah invasion. In the middle of those talks, Netanyahu announced Israel would invade Rafah “whether there was a ceasefire or not.” Miller admitted this torpedoed the negotiations.

He recalled July 2024, when Hamas came back with terms close to Israel’s own — but Netanyahu suddenly insisted Israel must keep troops in the Philadelphi Corridor, a condition not in earlier proposals. “That maybe was the most frustrating of all,” Miller said, “because we were so close to getting a deal… and the prime minister added these new conditions.”

In other words: the U.S. knew Netanyahu was dragging out the war and blocking hostage releases. And they covered for him.

🚧 Why Didn’t They Say So Then?

Miller explained why the Biden team stayed quiet: “We very much wanted to go public and make clear that we thought the prime minister was being completely intransigent,” he said, “but we decided it wouldn’t accomplish anything, because Sinwar [the Hamas leader] pulled back when he saw division between the U.S. and Israel.”

So they lied. They denied. They covered for Netanyahu. They pretended Hamas was the only obstacle, even when they knew Israel was deliberately sabotaging negotiations.

And while they lied, the war dragged on. Tens of thousands of Palestinians died. Babies starved to death. Entire families were erased.

⚖️ Lying While It Mattered, Telling the Truth When It’s Safe

This is what makes Miller’s words so despicable. He didn’t tell the truth when he had the microphone, when it mattered most, when lives were on the line. He waited until he was out of power, with nothing at stake.

Journalist Briahna Joy Gray put it perfectly this week:

“Knowingly lying to manufacture consent for Biden’s genocide and telling the truth only when out of power is morally worse than being a true believer. Genuinely evil stuff.”

That’s exactly right. A true believer is deluded. But Matthew Miller was not deluded. He knew. He saw the sabotage. He knew Netanyahu was blocking deals. He knew the famine was real. He knew the genocide was deliberate. And he chose to lie to the world anyway.

That is not confusion. That is complicity. That is collaboration. That is evil.
