I won't feel guilty for opposing ANYONE who says genocide isn't real and that they have a crystal clear love for Israel. Period.

Kerry Shaw's avatar

Likely in most cases: it’s not a “love for Israel” on display; but a repetitive performance, driven by a rational fear of organized international Jewry and attracting their addiction level appetite for unlimited chaos and violence commonly dispatched by Zionists on their detractors and holders of land and resources they train each-other up thru the generations to covet and fancy.

The only way to fix that is if an entire now living global generation organically starts their every-day with a heart-felt results-oriented prayer:

Fuck Israel - Amen ✝️🇺🇸

The ZioNazis know global Gen -Z is coming to destroy their machine; why else would they care to cleverly craft moves that put TikTok under their control?

Politicians on both sides of the aisle continue to be so morally bankrupt when it comes to Gaza. Newsome just lost my support as well. Such a cowardly, asinine response.

Shaun King's avatar

Just an absolutely awful response. At least now we know.

Mary-Elizabeth Meagher's avatar

Exactly. Now we know.

Aamir Razak's avatar

Well said, Ms. Meagher. Totally agreed, their lack of morality in regards to Gaza is just appalling, and it is on both sides of the political spectrum. Red or blue, two sides of the same bloodstained imperialist coin

100%. He’s part of the establishment. No better than genocide Joe

Democratic voters, by and large, are not issues voters. They vote on how candidates make them feel. Most voters do. My fear here is that voters like how this man makes them feel, while ignoring his actual core beliefs.

Chris D's avatar

He’ll probably get the democratic nomination. He’s slick and polished like Obama, and after Trump, that’s all most dem voters will care about — that he “presents well.”

Nightbird Nan's avatar

Clearly Israel has committed genocide in Gaza and continues to do so. Shocking that Gavin Newsome can't call it what it is. Red line for me. I will not support him if he runs for President. Rhetoric doesn't matter facts do. Shapiro makes me ill. Thanks for posting.

Shaun King's avatar

Welcome my friend. I agree with you.

Alison Bailey's avatar

That’s a hard no for Newsome, the squeaking dwarf put words into his mouth & Newsome was afraid to give a straight answer

Shaun King's avatar

Shapiro ran all over him.

Alison Bailey's avatar

I loathe & abhor the short one

NO NONSENSE Brown's avatar

I agree, not because of the gaslighting catch phrase antisemitism this would elicit, but because of the genocidal nature of the beast

Some Things About Me's avatar

Yes Shaun, what you bring up here disturbs me greatly about what happens after Trump and friends is over. Because whenever it’s over, it is going to be over someday. I fear we won’t have really learned anything and we’ll go back to something that is not quite the same but looks just pretty enough for us to turn our face the other way, we’ll go back to the nice president who didn’t drink the water in Flint, Michigan, but pretended that he did, we’ll go back to the nice elderly grandfather who rather than remove himself from the race continued until he doomed us with Trump. Concerned that we’ll just say well hey it’s not perfect but he’s better at least we don’t have this one or that one anymore. We’ll be just so happy to go back to the Clintons and the W’s that we won’t even notice bullshit like what Newson is saying. Because I don’t think that we have the capacity to babysit the people we elect, even if the elections become 100% honest which I’m not sure they can anyway. It takes time and effort to watch our elected officials to point out when they fail to point out when they lie and to remove them when they don’t apologize. I just don’t think that we have it. I think there’s something systemically wrong with America that will prevent it. Damn I want to be wrong. I live to see the day when I will apologize for what I just said.

Shaun King's avatar

This is exactly what we are on the path towards. You are correct.

I am also upset that the pendulum is again going to swing back as if nothing happened. I just wish Green Party had crossed 5% threshold to have a voice in the next election. The democrats who didn't turn up for the elections -rightly because of genocide as a red line- if only they had voted for Jill Stein. But they hadn't heard about her even.

Tom Gruver's avatar

I’m respect him for saying what he believes and glad he didn’t pretend otherwise. At least now I won’t waste a vote on a two faced liar like I did with John Fetterman

Shaun King's avatar

I agree with you. This is how he feels. Now we know.

Eduardo Quintana's avatar

Thank you for your courage sean. You give me courage and hope.

Shaun King's avatar

I am trying brother. Thank you for your support. Means the world to me.

Of course, that is a no-brainer to oppose Newsom for President after he adopts that stance. But I have to ask myself, why is he being so politically foolish? The majority of the US population is supportive of Palestine. Two reasons occur to me: 1) There are other factors that many US people regard as more salient to their everyday lives -- various domestic issues -- that he is at least "better" on (not great, often), compared to global issues. 2) The power of AIPAC and its ability to kill campaigns? Just trying to figure out strategy for those of us who work on it.

Shaun King's avatar

These are important thoughts and questions.

Aamir Razak's avatar

Thanks for sharing this Shaun, and I am sorry that your friend has such disappointing views. I agree with you, considering his support for the genocidal occupation, and denial of the reality that is apparent every day by the videos and photos and text of the war crimes/crimes against humanity, human suffering and torture, I will never vote for this person for president.

Recent events have shown me that in both parties, there are really no politicians I trust or have respect for, and none I believe have genuine desires to stop the government's support for the genocide, occupation and warmongering/resource grabbing/regime change globally. Red or blue, Republican or Democrat, they are two sides of the same bloodstained, imperialist, racist coins.

David Keeler's avatar

Absolutely AGREE. PERIOD --- Any political canidate, any political party that denies the genocide in Gaza, the oppression & brutality, denies the right of the Palestinian statehood & self-determination deserves zero respect & zero future plateform.

Shaun King's avatar

Thank you David.

Mohamed Oraby's avatar

My deep respect for you Mr. Shaun

Thank you brother.

Newsom can add. The arithmetic erases whatever conscience he has left. Even a threat, "no AIPAC, no money," means the Ziofascists have bought him without even paying his campaign a cent up front.

Lewis C. Taishoff's avatar

To elaborate, unless I am much mistaken, I see here the old naval concept of "fleet in being." In this concept, one need not risk one's forces in actual battle. The mere existence of one's fleet is sufficient to immobilize large enemy forces by virtue of the threat that it might sortie, even if it never does. Translated to American (and thus world) politics, the threat that AIPAC and its collaborators might bankroll an opposing candidate or an opposing party in a primary or general election is sufficient to terrorize candidates into silence about the ongoing genocide in Gaza. They need not actually spend too much, if anything. Fear is the greatest reinforcement5 any enemy can muster.

Judy Fusinaz's avatar

If he denies genocide by zionists he's NOT FOR ME, period!!!BDS ISRAELI ZIONISM FOREVER

TR's avatar

Disgusting.

Liza Jessie Peterson's avatar

Genocide is THE red line. Gaza is the litmus test for humanity and for all politicians who claim to fight for justice and for our rights. Gavin Newsome is a Hard No, same for Jasmine Crockett. AIPAC is death sentence for the soul of American politicians.

Shaun King's avatar

I agree with you wholeheartedly Liza.
