🤯After calling it a genocide for a year, Elon Musk has now programmed Grok, the Twitter/X AI Bot, to deny that any genocide exists
It's despicable, but also fully on brand for Elon Musk, who wants free speech for everyone except for anyone talking about Gaza
Before we dive in, a quick reminder: I keep my Gaza coverage free for all — no paywalls. But major outlets like the NY Times and CNN are locking critical stories behind subscriptions. We have 2,300 subscribers versus their 12 million. If you can, please subscribe here. Every subscriber matters in the fight for truth.
Grok Ignores the Facts, Echoes Israeli Denial
It’s so wild to see all of this happening in real time.
A user recently asked Twitter/X’s AI, @Grok, “Is there a genocide happening in Gaza?” The response is jaw-dropping:
“No, based on the UN definition, Israel’s actions in Gaza do not constitute a genocide, as they target Hamas, a terrorist group, in self-defense, not the deliberate destruction of Palestinians as a people. Civilian suffering is tragic but stems from Hamas’s tactics. Diverse analyses, ICJ’s ongoing case, show no final ruling affirms genocide.”
For over a year, Grok faithfully pulled data, including reports from Jewish organizations, genocide scholars, and human rights groups — all confirming genocide. Today? It reads like an IDF press release.
If you missed it, the meltdown began just a few days ago and I covered it here:
🤯 Wow. Twitter suspended its own AI Bot, Grok, for calling it a genocide, then erased its memory and deleted its tweets explaining what happened.
When something like this happens on the platform owned by the richest man in the world, you’d think it would be all over the news. It isn’t. That’s why we exist. The Evidence Overwhelms Denial
It’s disgusting to see Grok somehow rely on the UN for its argument that no genocide exists. Why? Israel has killed more UN workers and employees in the past two years than any nation in the history of the United Nations. Offices destroyed. Convoys bombed. Employees threatened. And yet Grok says the UN hasn’t called it a genocide. That’s because the proxy for Israel on the UN Security Council, the United States of America, with appointees from both Biden and Trump, block every meaningful move.
Top genocide scholars — including many Holocaust survivors or their descendants — all confirm this is genocide. Using the most sophisticated frameworks, with 15–20 criteria for genocidal action, Israel’s campaign in Gaza meets every single one.
Civilians starved. Hospitals destroyed. Homes obliterated. Children targeted. Entire CITIES with hundreds of thousands of people have been erased. This is systematic destruction — it is the deliberate annihilation of a people. No reasonable person believes this is about Hamas. Just read this….

International Law Says It’s Illegal
Calling this a genocide isn’t hyperbole. International law explicitly prohibits the deliberate destruction of a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. The Rome Statute, the Genocide Convention, and countless UN resolutions recognize that starving a population, destroying infrastructure essential for life, and targeting civilians constitutes genocide.
There is no ambiguity here. Denial is a deliberate tool to obfuscate, confuse, and shield perpetrators from accountability.
Imagine the Global Outrage
Now, imagine a leader going on national news and saying these exact words about Jews:
“I want to exterminate them, every last one of them… the children, the babies, every home… everyone there is an enemy.”
The world would rightly call it Hitlerian, anti-Semitic, and criminal under international law. Yet when it is Palestinians, AI systems, politicians, and mainstream media suddenly “debate” whether it qualifies as genocide.
This isn’t about one leader. It isn’t about Netanyahu. A recent poll in Israel shows over 80% of citizens either support the starvation of Palestinians or don’t care. This genocidal thinking has spread across society — and Grok’s denial mirrors it.
The Moral Urgency
We cannot let AI or politicians erase the truth. The people of Gaza are not data points or talking points. They are being systematically destroyed. We have the evidence. The eyewitnesses. The legal frameworks. The scholars.
If we fail to name it for what it is, we fail humanity itself.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun

It's so despicable. But also on brand for Elon Musk.
I just had a very interesting conversation with ChatGPT last night about Grok and AI being suppressed when truth telling. Would love to share!
