Your words made tears. Each tear, a prayer. Take good care, Shaun.

Praying for you brother. May Allah SWT make it easy for you, count every tear, give you goodness for every hardship you endure and continue to hold you close to Him. You are an eternal being, and this is just your body on this earth. May Allah SWT give it the strength to carry you through all of the work you need to do while here and ultimately grant you peace and the highest ranks of Jannah. Ameen 🤲🏽

Dear Shaun,

So much of what you share resonates with me. Enduring suffering that comes unbidden is especially difficult. We practice different faiths. I, being Buddhist, recognize the power you place in Allah. Buddhists recognize this power as a potential within our individual lives. That buddhahood exists as a potential we strive to materialize in our lives by the causes we make and the effects we experience. I am praying that the buddhist gods protect your healling journey. In our tradition, prayer incites the buddhist gods (the energy inherent in the universe) to enter the lives of all around you so that your doctors are at their very best and everyone surrounding you provides the best possible, loving care as you move through and heal beyond what lies before you. Everything that happens in our lives provides an opportunity for learning and growth and attaining a state of life in which nothing can destroy us...you are living this way. Your suffering has developed a level of empathy, compassion and devotion to your chosen mission. I truly believe your belief will absolutely carry you through this trial. I am praying for complete success in your healing journey.

Sincerely,

Susan Habel

Praying for a good recovery Shaun. The world needs your voice too. Your words touch my heart. All the suffering in the world hurts but as you said put in perspective it brings gratitude. And with that gratitude each of us needs to do what is within our power to help others.

It’s sad to think of all you have suffered and the pain and uncertainty that your new treatment will bring. I hope that everything goes really well and that your family too has support too as it will be difficult for them. Your faith is amazing. I’m sure it will help you enormously. Until we see your words again….love to you.

Thank you Shaun for sharing your very personal thoughts; and your most difficult journey. Just in doing that you bring blessing and hope and healing to others... Even for yourself!

Of course you have my prayers. As well, I pray for the Surgical Team. And for the guidance you receive. Prayers for recovery and healing will also ascend to Allah. I'm your old retired Christian Clergy friend. I know Allah listens to all prayers, especially on behalf of others. Just as Christ receives all prayers. How blest are we!?

Peace be with you,
