As many of you know, for the past 7 years I’ve been a fully independent writer and organizer - free of any corporate influence - and able to speak truth to power about any leader, political party, corporation, or nation. It’s why I’ve been able to do the work I’ve done over these years.
But now I need your support.
Next month I am preparing to have the sixth and most extensive spinal surgery of my life. It’s going to be a brutal procedure, a difficult recovery, and it will seriously change the quality of my life once I heal. Alhamdulillah I am prepared for it mentally.
It’s my expectation that I will be home recovering for at least six months, if not longer. I won’t be traveling to speak or teach during this time - which has been one of the ways I provide for my family. Typing has already become increasingly difficult for me, but I am exploring other programs that have gotten better and better to help me dictate what I want to say.
But let me say something very scary to you.
Your support of me here is one of the last sources of income I have. And I am really going to need your support over these next few months.
Even through the pain, I am studying the news closely every single day and speaking to people around the world about how the United States and Israel are impacting their lives. I won’t be able to do as much long form writing as I’d like, but….

I will pray for you and your family during this time. I know it has been a tough road of many years of pain management. I hope this surgery can give you better relief.
