This is a very big deal. And YOUR CONGRESSMAN would do this too if you put pressure on them.

Well done, some of these youngsters don't know how to make the system Work. Good Way to show them how it's done.

Well . . . He’s worth what — 8 million? Not a lot by today’s standards. But he can certainly live very comfortably on it. It’s not like he’ll be absorbing great fiscal pain. So I think this line is overblown.

It's not about the money-it's about him publicly saying he cannot support Israel's behavior by accepting it.

As I see it . . .

Public figures who tolerated these crimes may well reconsider their position in light of evident and ongoing refusal of the public to interpret genocide and surrounding events within the strictures proffered by the world’s indolent and profligate ruling classes.

But prosecution of crimes against humanity, crimes of war against peace, and for genocide must stand.

Had I anything to say about it, the original sentence handed down in ‘46 would apply.

I spoke with Moulton about a month ago at the Massachusetts State Democratic Party Convention, asking him why he was not co-signing H.R.3565 ("Block the Bombs") with some fifty other members of the House of Representatives. He pretended he didn't know what it was about...promised to "look into it." I already knew he was well aware of it as others in our group (JVP & MAPA), who had met with his staff on the subject numerous times, had confirmed this. With the exception of Presley and McGovern, the entire Massachusetts federal delegation has been abysmal on all matters Israel/Palestine. That Convention ended in total revolt, in some measure over the failure of the State Democratic Party to criticize Israel and US complicity; it was a rout, with the rank and file rejecting the new MA State Platform, handed down from the Party insiders, because it reflected a retrenchment of long standing party commitments, and rejected all attempts to include a pro-Palestinian plank in the Platform.

The biggest applause line of the day came when Sen. Ed Markey tried to atone for his many votes to send weapons to Israel, by calling for an unequivocal ceasefire in Gaza. Late yesterday I received a communication from Moulton announcing he would challenge Markey for the Senate seat next Fall. Now he's rejecting AIPAC money, which he's been accepting in large quantities for years? Wants to be the leader of the disingenuous politicians parade, trying to wipe the blood of genocide off their hands. Pathetic.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s very helpful and insightful. Does Senator Markey take AIPAC money?

Regardless of the reason, we can still hope his actions galvanize other Democrats to return AIPAC money, performative or not.

I was at that convention as well. Markey was the only speaker I heard even mention the atrocities that were happening in Gaza. I have been to many Seth Moulton events. He is not a terrible guy but a very slick ambitious politician. Good on him for returning at least some AIPAC money but a bit suspicious he is doing it right after announcing he is challenging progressive Markey for his senate seat.🧐 I would love to see Presley throw her hat in the ring for it a much better choice than Moulton for sure.

Asalamu alaikum Shaun

This is historic, and you are right; now we all need to pressure all U.S. Congress and Senate to return their money to AIPAC and then vote for campaign finance reform for zero lobbying (bribe) dollars and term limits (the career politicians need to be sent home).

Surah Albaqarah #2: 188

And eat up not one another's property unjustly (in any illegal way, e.g., stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.), nor give bribery to the rulers (judges before presenting your cases) that you may knowingly eat up a part of the property of others sinfully (188)

This may seem small to some, but it was absolutely unthinkable a few weeks ago. Keep exposing the reality of the murderous government of the state of Israel. Thank you, Shaun! No more money; no more weapons; no more support for the genocide.

It is time to stop sending money to Israel. I am all in favor of supporting developing Democracies, but Israel has become a terrorist state visiting genocide on the people of Gaza.
