🏫 6 hours left for us to get a $10,000 bonus for the school for young orphans in Gaza! Please chip in now!
We’ve raised $124,067. Now we need $25,933 by 7pm Eastern to reach $150,000 and secure the bonus.
As-Salaam-Alaikum and good afternoon.
My friends, it is now about 12pm here in New Jersey, and we have until 7pm Eastern tonight to reach one of the most important milestones of this entire campaign.
As of this moment, 1,057 supporters have raised $124,067 to help us build a school for young orphaned children in Gaza. That means we are nearly halfway to the full $250,000 goal, and I am deeply grateful to every person who has helped carry us this far.
But today, the deadline is very real.
We need to reach $150,000 by 7pm Eastern in order to unlock a $10,000 bonus from LaunchGood for this school.
That means we need $25,933 in the next few hours.
🕋 Donate now and help us unlock the $10,000 bonus for Gaza’s orphan school
Today is the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, the Day of Arafah, one of the most sacred days of the entire year for Muslims. Millions of people around the world are fasting today, praying, making dua, giving charity, and doing their best to seek the pleasure of Allah through good deeds.
For my non-Muslim friends reading this, I want to explain it simply: this is one of the most spiritually meaningful days of the year for nearly 2 billion Muslims. It is a day of humility, mercy, charity, repentance, prayer, and remembering those who are suffering.
And on this day, I am asking all of us — Muslim and non-Muslim, people of faith and people of conscience — to help us do something concrete and beautiful for orphaned children in Gaza.
Help us build them a school.
🤲🏽 Give your Zakat, sadaqah, or tax-deductible donation before 7pm Eastern
I do not want us to miss what is at stake. This $10,000 bonus is not abstract. It is not a trophy. It is not just a prize on a website. It is real money that can help pay for classrooms, washrooms, counseling space, solar support, secure fencing, desks, whiteboards, and a safe courtyard for children who have already lost more than any child should ever have to carry.
The school is being designed for orphaned children ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. These are children who should be learning how to read, write, count, study Qur’an, ask questions, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name.
Instead, many of them have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase everything they have endured, but it can give them structure again. It can give them a morning routine, a desk, a whiteboard, a teacher, counselling support, friendship, play, and adults who are invested in their future. For a child who has lost almost everything, that kind of stability is not small. It is mercy made real.
📚 Help us turn this plan into a real school for young orphans in Gaza
Here is what we need before 7pm Eastern:
$25,933 to reach $150,000
260 people giving $100 gets us there
519 people giving $50 gets us there
52 people giving $500 gets us there
26 people giving $1,000 gets us there
6 people giving $5,000 gets us there
Most likely, it will take all of us. It will take the person who can give $5 and the person who can give $50. It will take the person who can give $100, $500, or $1,000. And it will take people, families, masjids, churches, businesses, and foundations who can give $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, or more to step forward with urgency.
Allah knows what each of us is capable of giving. Allah knows our sincerity. Allah knows what it costs us. The person who gives $5 may be stretching themselves more than someone else giving $500. Allah knows best. What I am asking today is that each of us gives according to our capacity, with sincerity, mercy, and love for these children.
🇵🇸 Donate now through the verified LaunchGood campaign
This project is organized by Human Concern International. It is LaunchGood verified, tax-deductible, and for Muslims it is Zakat eligible.
And I want to be clear, as always: I am a full-time employee of Human Concern International and have been for more than 2 years. I do not receive fees or personal compensation from this fundraiser.
Not a penny.
I am asking because the team in Gaza is counting on us. I am asking because these children need more than our grief. I am asking because the school only gets built if we raise the funds. Good intentions do not build classrooms. Sympathy does not create counselling space. Concern does not install washrooms or solar support.
Donations do.
And today, before 7pm Eastern, donations can also unlock an extra $10,000 for this school.
🏗️ Please give now and help us reach $150,000 before tonight’s deadline
After you give, please forward this email to 3 people immediately. Tell them today is the Day of Arafah, we have until 7pm Eastern, and we need $25,933 to unlock a $10,000 bonus for a real school for young orphans in Gaza.
We are close.
The deadline is real.
And with Allah’s help, enough of us can carry this across the line today.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
