You won't see any of this in Western media. Now ask yourself why?

The US is manufacturing popular support for another western intervention i.e. mass bombing and occupation campaign. The bombs dropped kill all the people, no matter their politics or viewpoints.

Havent Americans learned or still falling for puppet regime?

Like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria.. If USA cant do it by bribing officials, or they get caught and have to put the bribed officials in UN relocation program, then they resort to Military like Saddam Gadaffi Assad

Their insults are golden ๐Ÿ˜‚ I love them for standing up for what they believe in. And in such grand numbers. Also โ€œthe American man trying to force himselfโ€? Thatโ€™s got to be the most brutal thing someone has ever referred to Trump as and thatโ€™s absolutely what he is. Heโ€™s a predator. And not any sort of natural predator like a wolf. Heโ€™s some creepy guy who has lived a life of forcing himself on women every way imaginable. And now heโ€™s trying to force himself on these countries. Itโ€™s so grimy and embarrassing.

How they are so proud of their leader!!! America, give us something to rally behind! Instead of lying to our faces and kissing the feet of this creep. We all know he would leave every single one of us to suffer if it benefits him. Because thatโ€™s who he has always been. Itโ€™s his whole track record. Iโ€™m so grateful to be informed that the people of Iran are in fact calling BS and see heโ€™s not even human.

Because what kind of human does what he is doing and keeps trying to do?

They donโ€™t want us to see this because our President is a traitor and his administration works for Israhell. Youโ€™re spot on it isnโ€™t good for the script.

Manufactured consent again, the west must come to the rescue!! The west has tried to grind you down with economic sanctions. But the people of Iran are wise to the nastiness of Western and genocidal govts

Shaun, I say this as an American-Iranian who has supported you, who has shared your writing with everyone I know, and who has always supported your cause in helping the Palestinian people - you've turned your back on the Iranians who helped you, because Iran's revolution doesn't fit your tidy us-vs-them story.

Anyone who knows any member of the Iranian diaspora knows why so many have fled the country - because of a BRUTAL theocratic regime. It is not anti-Islam or anti-Palestine to be pro-Iranian people who are dying by the thousands every day to be free. This is a regime that stoned my mother's neighbor to death because she wore pants. A regime who makes you pay for the bullets that killed your loved ones before you can retrieve their bodies, and makes you bring sweets to thank the killers. A regime that rapes virgin prisoners before they are executed so they don't go to heaven. The list of brutality is almost endless. Now do you want me to believe these 5, clearly propagandist videos, or believe the voices of Iranians who have given mountains of first hand accounts of these things - things my own family has witnessed.

Do you want us to believe some government-paid protests and government-sanctioned influencer videos absolve the IRGC of their human rights violations? Why don't you post the countless videos of people in Iran BEGGING to be freed, begging for help, begging for safety. The videos of countless body bags. The videos of hospital patients who were shot in their hospital beds at point blank range, with feeding tubes still in their bodies, just as we saw the same images coming out of Gaza?

Here's what you've left out of this post - The Iranian people have been protesting for freedom and human rights ever since the regime came into power in '79. The Masah Amini protests in 2022, Bloody November of 2019, the protest of 2017, the Green Movement of 2009... I could go on and on. And each time, they were met with brutal murders. This is not new, this is just how desperate Iranians have become. Fuck what Israeli or US interests are, that doesn't mean the Iranian people aren't suffering. Two things can be true at once. Just because there are other nefarious players doesn't mean Iranian people don't deserve to be witnessed and supported.

You want to talk about foreign intervention? Why don't you talk about the fact that Iran is importing fighters from outside the country to help suppress its own people, people who only have rocks to throw back? Would that count as foreign intervention? Is that humane or ethical?

Trump is telling us to not believe our own eyes when we see what happened in MN and only believe the story and cherry picked media that works for their narrative. How is this post any different than that? I beg anybody reading this who really wants to know the truth, to see what real Iranians are saying and have some compassion in their hearts. It is real suffering and posts like this just spit in the faces of the dead who fought for the same basic human rights you have in the US.

I thought you were for the people, for MY kind of people. The hurt and abused and unrepresented. Man, I really admired you and respected you, and you've broken my heart like all the rest. Nothing and nobody is what they claim to be anymore.

Jasmine, Iโ€™m so sorry. And thank you for saying what so many are afraid to say.

My family is Iranian. We have lost three family members to this regime. This is not abstract to us. It is not theory, geopolitics, or โ€œnarratives.โ€ I have heard the crying on the phone. I have lived the fear, the silence, the helplessness. We are shaken to our core.

What makes this so devastating is not disagreement it is betrayal.

What is being done here is not solidarity and not activism. It is narrative manipulation. Selective empathy. The erasure of real people because their suffering complicates a clean us versus them story.

Using state sanctioned footage, ignoring decades of documented repression, dismissing the voices of Iranians who have been begging the world to listen and then calling this โ€œtruthโ€ is not resistance. It is misinformation dressed up as moral clarity.

An activist who cannot hold more than one truth at once is not principled. An activist who monetizes outrage while dismissing first hand testimony is not brave. And someone who ignores the cries of victims because they do not fit his frame is no better than the forces he claims to oppose.

This is not about being anti Palestine or anti anything. Two things can be true at the same time. Gaza can be a humanitarian catastrophe and Iran can be a brutal theocratic regime. Refusing to acknowledge that does not make someone righteous it makes them dishonest.

You spoke with courage, integrity, and humanity. Many of us stand with you, even if we are exhausted, grieving, and heartbroken.

You are not alone. And your voice matters.

Thanks, Shaun. It's really important to talk to the citizens and see what they believe and want. Not what the US government wants us to believe and the media reports without merit.

Of course some will dismiss those videos as 'unrepresentative' and 'regime propaganda' but its harder to call what the University of Maryland hires a Canadian company to do 'unrepresentative' when they detail how widely representative it is (by age, sex, income, education, political leanings, urban/rural area) and even the most determined antifarsites would balk at calling an American university 'an Iranian controlled institution'.

That's why you've likely NEVER seen or heard them called experts, or been brought on a panel to 'provide balance' to any of the desparagment and demonization of the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT OF IRAN, or the POST DICTATORSHIP Iranian society.

Caspara's avatar

Letโ€™s be clear about what it actually represents.

Itโ€™s a phone survey conducted inside Iran, a surveillance state where dissent gets you beaten, imprisoned, or killed. Answers given under those conditions are constrained by fear. That is not interpretation. It is reality.

Now contrast that with facts. Three of my relatives were butchered for protesting, unarmed and without trial. Most of our family lives outside Iran, many of us permanently unable to return. My father still carries marks of torture across his whole body from being detained in the mid-1980s for handing out flyers, read that again... flyers!! The most significant part is our story is not unique.

No poll overrides executions, torture, forced exile, or decades of mass repression. Calling this system โ€œdemocratically electedโ€ is not nuance. It is an absolute betrayal of truth..

Richard Pearce's avatar

If Iran is the surveillance state you claim, why, in other surveys, conducted in the same manner, by the same company, did so many (though not most) of the Iranians speaking on phones express criticism of exactly the branch of government that according to you, beats, imprisons, and murders those expressing dissent?

Maurizio Lodi's avatar

is all this doubting the gravity of the militar oppression of iranian people by its fanatic religious government?

Kathleen Joy Anderson's avatar

Of course, we all know how ignorant Trump is about history in general, and specifically about the history of the U. S. and Iran, but some of us remember how it turned out the last time our government put a Pahlavi on the throne.

Shawn E's avatar

I pray for my peoples in Iran. We are so divided because of fear from the islamic regime. The ones who chant for Pahlavi are doing it out of spite towards the mullahs, all they really want is a free democracy run by the people separate of religion. No theocracy government has ever been successful (there are only 6 remaining world wide). Fuk the mossad thugs killing and disrupting the peaceful protestors. Neither side wants to kill their own countrymen. The water crisis is now a bigger problem than all of this. Critical decisions need to be made and they are having to deal with multiple problems at the same time. City development engineers have fled due to threats. Order must be restored immediately for their survival.

End the State's avatar

It seems like one of the interviewers was saying that the protesters against the government were responsible for the deaths we keep hearing about. Is there anything on that?

Shawn E's avatar

I wish i could upload video here. I have a clip of that same guy during the 12 day war being interviewed as if he was randomly selected out the massive crowd. But the killings are mostly the mossad thugs doing it and instigating it. Crowds fall in line when one takes charge. Problem is those thugs know this.

End the State's avatar

That is not the narrative thatโ€™s being peddled, even by liberal Iranian voices in the media. A couple Iranian people on Democracy Now were condemning state violence against protestors. One was the brother of a political prisoner who was imprisoned for the second time a month ago.

Ya I know. Thats why we need to gather and collect different view points from all who are involved. In this video Iran exposes Israhell's involvement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExJRKVgFNEQ&list=PLXSj-QvOMqubTI7l8o4N_ERP30XRoFez9&index=8&t=5s&pp=gAQBiAQBsAgC

I just watched this one with Max as the guest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6ExDTy6arM

The one common factor in all the muslim killings is israhell. They are the driving force in all the conflicts world wide.
