🥺 4 Hours Left to Stand With Gaza’s Orphans
We’ve already sponsored 1,320 orphaned children in Gaza. Tonight decides how much further we can go — and whether we win an extra $15,000 for them.
Family,
I keep staring at one number: 1,320.
That’s how many orphaned children in Gaza are now sponsored through this campaign with Human Concern International.
1,320 kids who have lost a mother, a father, or both — and who now have a concrete promise of support for the next five years.
That number means everything to me.
But I also know this: for the next 4 hours, that number is not just a statistic. It’s a lever we can push on.
LaunchGood set up this day as a challenge:
The charity that sponsors the most orphans in this 24-hour window receives an extra $15,000 for their project.
That prize ends at midnight tonight.
The need in Gaza will still be there tomorrow. The orphans will still be there. I’ll still be fighting for them. But this particular chance to pull an extra $15,000 into their lives expires tonight.
If you’ve been on the edge about helping, this is me looking you in the eyes and asking you to step over that line:
👉🏽 Click here to sponsor an orphaned child in Gaza before the prize window closes.
This is about how far we can stretch 1,320
Here’s what your sponsorship actually is:
$99/month
A 5-year commitment (through 2029)
That commitment goes into a program that provides orphaned children in Gaza with food, shelter, healthcare, education — the basics of survival and a shot at a future.
Tonight is not about “can we save all of Gaza?” We can’t.
It’s about:
How far can we stretch 1,320?
How many more children can we pull into this circle of support before this bonus window closes?
Every sponsorship between now and midnight doesn’t just help that one child. It also strengthens our position to win $15,000 more for all of them.
If you’ve been waiting for the “right moment,” that moment is staring you in the face.
If you’ve ever said “Gaza breaks my heart”… this is a way to make that real
I know some of you have been watching everything unfold in Gaza for over two years now and feeling crushed:
You’ve seen the videos of children pulled from rubble.
You’ve read about the mass graves, the famine, the camps.
You’ve whispered, “This is too much.”
And maybe you’ve posted, or marched, or prayed, or just sat in silence not knowing what to do.
Sponsoring an orphan is not theoretical. It’s not symbolic. It is a direct, measurable intervention in a child’s life.
If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I wish I could do something concrete,” this is that something.
👉🏽 Click here to sponsor one child in Gaza.
If you have more capacity, sponsor several. If you can’t reach the full $99/month commitment, give what you can — it still goes straight into this program.
Zakat, tax deductions, and the big tent
For my Muslim sisters and brothers:
This campaign is Zakat-eligible.
Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was an orphan. We are taught, over and over, that caring for orphans is one of the most beloved acts to Allah, with reward in this life and in Jannah.
For everyone, regardless of faith:
This is also tax-deductible in both the United States and Canada.
The door is open to anyone who believes children who’ve lost everything deserve food, shelter, and a future.
You don’t have to be Muslim to stand with orphaned kids in Gaza. You just have to be human.
👉🏽 Sponsor an orphaned child now.
Why I’m confident asking you to move on this
If trust is what’s been holding you back, I understand that. Let me strip this down to the basics.
100% of what you give goes directly to Human Concern International (HCI). None of it goes through me.
HCI is a long-established, Canada-registered Muslim charity.
I have helped route nearly $4 million in direct aid for Gaza through them.
The Executive Director, Mahmuda, is a devout, brilliant Muslim woman I know personally and trust completely.
My role here:
I am an Ambassador for HCI’s work.
I do not receive a percentage of funds raised.
I do not have access to the fundraiser’s bank accounts.
I’m putting my name and platform behind this because after 20 years of doing international aid work, this is one of the best vehicles I know to get real support to these kids.
👉🏽 Sponsor an orphan in Gaza here if you haven’t yet.
If you’re already part of the 1,320
If you helped get us to 1,320, I love you. You are part of the story of those children’s lives now.
In these last 4 hours, here’s how you can push this as far as it can go:
If you’re able, sponsor one more orphan or bump up your monthly amount.
If that’s not possible, think of three people you know who would care about this if they understood it — and send them the link with a short note from your heart.
Tell them:
“If you want to do something concrete for Gaza tonight, sponsor an orphaned child through this link.”
Here it is:
👉🏽 Support orphans in Gaza with HCI and Shaun.
Four hours from now, the prize window will close. The extra $15,000 will go somewhere. Those 1,320 children will still need us. So will the next ones we pull in.
I want us to be able to look back on tonight and say, “We pushed that lever as far as we could.”
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you, in advance, to everyone who decides to move in these last few hours.
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
