🕌 11PM from the masjid: I’m making du’a for you—please choose meals or orphans tonight
Laylatul Qadr window. Pick one act of mercy and move now.
As-Salaam-Alaikum my sisters and brothers,
It’s about 11PM, and I’m still in the masjid tonight.
For my Muslim family: this is part of the final 10 nights tradition—staying close to Allah, praying, reflecting, and pressing into mercy.
For my non-Muslim family: many Muslims spend these nights in the mosque because we believe the last part of Ramadan includes a once-a-year window of spiritual intensity and reward.
And I want you to know: I’m making du’a for you tonight—for every donor, every supporter, every person who has shared these messages and carried this work with me.
But I’m also going to ask you plainly:
Please don’t let this hour pass without choosing one act of mercy for Gaza.
Tonight may be Laylatul Qadr (pronounced “LIE-lah-tool KAH-dr”)—the Night of Power, described in the Qur’an as “better than a thousand months” (Qur’an 97:3). In plain English: Muslims believe giving tonight can echo far beyond what we can see.
So here are the two ways to give right now. Please choose one (or both):
Option A: Fund warm Iftar meals for families in Gaza (immediate impact tonight)
support the people of Gaza this Ramadan
Option B: Sponsor a newly orphaned child in Gaza (long-term stability for a child)
support orphans with Shaun
If you’re stuck, here’s the simplest way to decide:
Meals = “feed a family tonight.”
Orphans = “carry a child for the long road.”
Meals again: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan
Orphans again: support orphans with Shaun
A few things I always keep crystal clear:
Donations are tax-deductible where applicable (you’ll receive a receipt through the platform/charity).
This giving is Zakat-eligible / Zakat-verified.
And I do not receive a percentage or a single penny from either campaign—I take $0.
And if you can’t donate tonight, I’m asking you to do the next most powerful thing: forward this email to three peoplewho can, and tell them to pick one—meals or orphans—tonight.
Family, I’m going back into prayer after I send this. And I’ll be praying for you and your families—and praying that we can keep showing up for Gaza in a way that’s worthy of this night.
Please give now:
Meals: support the people of Gaza this Ramadan
Orphans: support orphans with Shaun
Love and appreciate each of you.
Your friend and brother,
Shaun
