These children are ages 5–9, serving Grades 1, 2, and 3. They should be learning how to read, write, count, ask questions, study Qur’an, play safely, and sit in a classroom with a teacher who knows their name. Instead, many have spent the past two years surrounded by displacement, hunger, fear, grief, and the loss of family.
A school will not erase everything they have endured. But it can give them structure again. It can give them a morning routine, a desk, a teacher, counselling support, friendship, play, and adults who are invested in their future.
That is what we are trying to make real.
