  1. This is why people hate cops. Seriously, kids will mouth off. It’s not illegal and unfortunately developmentally appropriate. Adults, especially teachers and police, should know that.
Unfortunate also is his actions DO reflect the values, training, and policies of the Department.

  2. “His actions do not reflect the values, training, or policies of the Department,” Smith said of the officer. ” Um, I think this is a typo: his actions ABSOLUTELY DO reflect the values, training and policies of the Department, and every other police department in this nation.

  3. The officer was reprimanded for what is a crime in most states – ethnic intimidation. This “refers to acts of malicious and intentional intimidation or harassment of another person because of that person’s race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. This conduct must also (a) cause physical contact with another person, (b) damage, destroy, or deface real or personal property, or (c) threaten to do any of the acts stated above, if there is reasonable cause to believe that such an act will occur.”
People do not know the law, but PDs and prosecutors do. This cop should be prosecuted for breaking the law.
    Intimidating a child? What a f^cking coward.
