ICE Agents Arrest More Than 280 Employees at Texas Company

  1. The fact that employees are being targeted shows the blatant racism surrounding this issue. Why aren’t the businesses being targeted? These businesses get rich on the blood, sweat, and tears of immigrants and then simply walk away once these folks are arrested and deported. Maybe if enough businesses were targeted, they might change their tune and actually start advocating for more fair immigration laws for undocumented folks? Or, maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

  2. It’s sad that the brunt of these raids are taken by the workers and the employers, who profited from cheap labor, and whose owners are probably trump supporters get off scott free or with a slap on the wrist. The hypocrisy of these businesses and this administration, whose cheeto in chief, hires and continues to employ undocumented workers at his Mar-a-lago resorts and hotels.
These individuals are hard workers, and contribute to society, and the local economy. Most have families that depend on their incomes and now will struggle even harder to survive. The methods and underlying intent of ICE and this administration is no different than the Gestapo during Nazi Germany.
