Georgia Teen Girl Arrested for Plotting ‘Detailed’ Attack on Black Church

A 16-year-old white girl in Georgia is in custody after plotting to attack Bethel AME Church, which has a predominantly Black congregation. Gainesville Police said they arrested the girl on November 15 after Gainesville High School administrators informed resource officers of the plan. A student at the high school heard the girl speak about the alleged threat and told a school administrator, Gainesville Police Chief Jay Parrish told reporters, according to CNN.
