I disagree with Bernie and I’m a supporter ??♀️ I absolutely agree that Returning Citizens should have their rights restored. But not while incarcerated. Let’s start there Nationwide. Anything else is suspect ?? #QuestionableMotives
I absolutely agree with this, while people that are incarcerated are typically there for some form of crime, they also are still citizens. Also, if we look at some of the reasons people are incarcerated, whether it’s just by the letter of the law, or some gross misrepresentation of the law, some people are in prison for extremely small and pitiful reasons, such as possession of marijuana. I think that all citizens should be allowed to vote, until we correct our for-profit prison system and our corrupt and wealthy/white leaning courts, we cannot simply generalize a prisoner as ineligible. It’s too murky.
