Bank of America has announced it will pay $4.2 million in back wages and interest after the US Department of Labor found the banking company allegedly discriminated against hiring minority applicants. I’m commenting to let you know I’m checking out this whole amazing website. Thanks for the article. Surprising but not surprising whenever the goal is money: Keep others from making it yet use others to make it. Just yesterday I was talking to a group of 5th graders (not about banks and money) but about encouraging and discouraging non-verbal communication. A student in the class brought up an example in recess about how she is the only girl who plays bball during recess and she is always picked last and all the boys constantly give her negative and discouraging non-verbal communication. The conversation lead to all the ways the systems in school are sexist. The boys were stunned; they said they felt it was not because they were girls. Unpacking it with them was amazing. It’s like starting over everyday.
