I began watching #TheRookie because of the black presence on the show. As a general rule the narrative on police shows tend to upset me and I usually avoid these types of shows (i.e., #SVU, #BlueBloods, #ChicagoPD, etc.). Miss Afton Williamson (@therealaftonw) has such a compelling presence I was drawn to watch. Because of this reported experience, I will no longer record on the dvr.
